Hi I bought the box set. Over here in the Netherlands at my record store, the difference between buying the albums separately and the complete box set was 45 Euro on release day. And I'm glad I bought it. A beautiful box. Take care
Seems like from what I’m seeing the box set and the individual albums were priced pretty similarly in Europe, but that wasn’t the case here in the U.S. I picked up all six albums for $140. If it would have been closer to the price of the box set I probably would have just grabbed the box.
Awesome video Nick. I got them individually. I agree and I also think they sound FANTASTIC overall. This was not the release I was hoping for at all, but I have to admit they sound fantastic….
I got 3 out of 6 so far individually and I’m happy with them. Sound much better than my original mono pressings. My friend had issues with the box set and had to get a replacement and now he is good.
I was lucky to he able to order the box for 190$. So it was a no-brainer for me and I am very happy to have the box, because it's very nice. But for sure, it's not worth the extra money.
I love people who say that The Beatles White Album would have been better had they cut some songs off of it Really??? It’s the bloody White Album!!!! A quote from Paul McCartney
My name is Eliot Wien from NY. I purchased the Box set. Yes, buying the individual albums make more sense since the bonus album is only The Beatles Story, but for me the Box is a Nostalgic feel good item for me! Like a kid buying a great toy! They should do a volume 2 with the US versions of Help!, Beatles VI, Yesterday & Today(with sticker of Butcher cover like the US albums cd), Rubber Soul, Revolver, Hey Jude, and as the bonus album in the box set should be the US version of The Beatles Christmas Album with the blueish cover with the boxes of photos showing how the Beatles changed throughout their years. This album was originally sent to fan club members in the US, With the Christmas album and Butcher cover album, the price would be worth the money!
I agree it is a cash grab. Some other UA-camr didn’t like the fact that I mentioned that, but it’s the truth. I know I have the choice of buying them or not but it’s a fact. I bought them individually too. Not worth the extra money for a box and the Beatles story. Thanks for keeping it real sir.
Especially considering that I picked up all six albums for $140 vs $300 for the box set. It was a no brainer for me. I’m glad I got all six though, because they sound absolutely amazing!
in Japan there were the exclusive obi included for all albums and a bonus tour paster - these were very popular with fans- but frankly Apple should have included more stuff for the point!
Im a first gen Beatle fan and i agree with you about the albums Sgt Pepper, white album, MMT, Yellow sub, ive never cared for any of these albums , love early beatles and mid period up till revolver!
I have the capital four CD box set that came out in 2004… that CD set sounds perfect and it’s true. It’s like the one that just came out this year (the mono vinyl box set). I am thinking about getting the individual LPs instead of the box set. I mean, come on spending 300 bucks on that box that doesn’t make any sense at all!!
I also agree with you on " Let it be naked"! Ive been trying to obtain a copy for at least 5 yrs but cause of greed most people on ebay are asking anywhere from $200 to $1,000 whichis insane, i dont care whothey are there is no bodys music worth that much so until there is a re issue or some nice person on here has a nice extra copy that they may want to sell fora reasonable price i guess im outof luck!
(This is Tom, not Sandra.) This was a very well done video, Sir. Your editing is superb. I like how you fazed out and back in on your mini segments. Do you think they will ever release updated Beatle 45's with their original photo picture sleeves anytime soon since they are re-releasing all of the LPs? I would like to see those picture sleeves redone again....even the VJ, Atco, and Swan picture sleeves, also. That would be a great box set to acquire!! What is your view on that, Sir? Thank you for your time. Take care. (Tom)
Thanks! I’ve never been a big fan of a bunch of hard cuts in videos. Plus since nothing I ever talk about is scripted and all just off the top of my head, breaking it up into smaller segments makes it a lot easier to edit (and I think it has a better flow that way). As for the 45s, they did release a singles collection a while back (that had 23 7” albums in it), and that’s probably the closest thing we’ll ever see to those original releases.
All 3 Anthology albums were released on vinyl, at least in Australia anyway. I have them. I ordered the boxset just so I can have it. Still waiting for it to be delivered due to issues here.
They were here too, I just couldn’t remember because Anthology 1 seems to be pretty rare here in the U.S. I’d still like to see them release all three with the same attention to detail that they gave these releases.
The only bad tracks on the White Album are 'don't pass me by", "honey pie" and "revolution 9" The rest is killer and no filler ! Overall a great album by 3 great songwriters and Ringo.
I got the Target press of Meet the Beatles. Won’t be getting the box. FYI, the first Anthology did come out on vinyl in 94. I bought it the day it was released. Bought two, kept one sealed.
I thought it might have been, but I just didn’t remember seeing it anywhere. I’d still like to see them release all three with the same attention to detail that they gave these releases.
Only £19.00 difference between the box and individually in the UK at the moment the additional LP and the box doesn't cost much more here (£221 for the six LP's £240 for the box set)
I bought the box because I lost my Beatle records back in the 70s so I needed to replace them so my tired old ass could find a reason to dance around in my bedroom alone again. I'm not a person that constantly bitches about how much I may or may not be riped off on high record prices. I hate waiting on sales to buy things. Records aren't really more expensive than they were in the 60s. Heck, when I was 12 I had to mow 3 lawns to buy the latest Beatles record. These days I might have to mow only 6 to buy the whole beautiful box set. No need to bitch about supporting the Beatle world. Long live the Beatles. Oh, and I'm also buying new releases of Melanie records fron the 70s. I'm loving all the beautiful releases and the beautiful colored records too.
No, you are right that the cost of records now really isn’t all that different to what they were in the ‘70s and ‘80 (when adjusted for inflation), I just think people have an issue with how fast they went up over the last several years instead of a gradual increase over time. These albums do sound incredible, but when they announced that they were releasing them as a box set and individually I just couldn’t justify the price difference between the two. I’m really glad I picked up all six albums though.
I just couldn’t remember because Anthology 1 seems to be pretty rare here in the U.S. I’d still like to see them release all three with the same attention to detail that they gave these releases.
Well they started out good but they made a better album each time so I had us records but I like the original uk better more songs I like the past masters too and anthology and the deluxe are good too
So you’re slagging The White Album and Sgt Pepper, yet I see those fake pop punk posers Green Day in the background. I love 50 year olds dressing like 15 year olds making awful music for kids 1/3 their age.

I bought the Beatles 1964 Vinyl box set, & it’s Beautiful! It’s all Nostalgia! No regrets. Beautiful package!

I’m hoping to see them give this kind of treatment to some of their other long out of print albums (instead of releasing Revolver for the 700th time).
@ totally agree Nick. I did a video review on these too. Im a big Beatles fan. Really hope they continue the all analog thing for sure…
I got 3 out of 6 so far individually and I’m happy with them. Sound much better than my original mono pressings. My friend had issues with the box set and had to get a replacement and now he is good.
Will pick these up individually to add to my ever growing number of Beatles' lps.
I'd love to see complete reissue over the US versions, done the same way
I was lucky to he able to order the box for 190$. So it was a no-brainer for me and I am very happy to have the box, because it's very nice. But for sure, it's not worth the extra money.

There’s a lot of really great tracks on it, but also some filler.
The only one I wouldn't have mind, it was not on the White Album, is Revolution 9😅

Yeah, that would be awesome to see them reissue those other albums!
Meet The Beatles.....and The White Album is The best 😊...The Beatles and CCR are in my #1 Spot 😊

Yea I'm on the fence on this release.. I have 2014 U.S CD box set.. So that will do me.. and they sound fantastic
Cool vid Nick..
Yeah, I think if you already have the CD set then there’s no reason to pick any of these up.
I have all of these albums in mono and stereo. I'll have to pass on the box set. 😊
FYI I bought the Beatles Anthology Volume One, Vinyl, and sealed, at one of my locals yesterday. Granted a lucky find, but they are out there.
That’s good to know! I’d still love to see them do an anthology box set with the same attention to detail that they gave the ‘64 albums.
I Agree With You
Buy them individually. I was only going to buy one, but based on the SQ, I went back and bought all 6
I have a lot of the first pressings, so I’m fine.
I was shocked that people were dropping $300+ on a box set when all six of the albums are available for less than half of that.
The Box set and ALL of the individual albums are for sale for 30% off on the Udiscover shop
That’s where I got mine from. I was surprised to see that they didn’t exclude the Beatles albums from their sale, but I was glad that they didn’t.
Have most of the originals __ looking to pick up ( the early Beatles)
I got the Target press of Meet the Beatles. Won’t be getting the box.
FYI, the first Anthology did come out on vinyl in 94. I bought it the day it was released. Bought two, kept one sealed.

In that instance it makes sense to pick up the box set, but I paid $140 for all six albums so dropping $300+ just seemed kind of crazy to me.
They sound very, very good, but not a revelation. I have 2 so far.
I bought the box because I lost my Beatle records back in the 70s so I needed to replace them so my tired old ass could find a reason to dance around in my bedroom alone again. I’ve purchased three albums and that’s it….
All three Anthology are on vinyl❤️ luckily
I just couldn’t remember because Anthology 1 seems to be pretty rare here in the U.S. I’d still like to see them release all three with the same attention to detail that they gave these releases.
I bought them individually and will NEVER open them because they are sealed!
Well they started out good but they made a better album each time so I had us records but I like the original uk better more songs I like the past masters too and anthology and the deluxe are good too
Cool 😎
I'm just wondering, that since it's your favourite Beatles album, which you prefer now- The Second Album in stereo or in mono ?
I think all the early Beatles albums sound better in mono.
@@TheVinylDen Thanks. I think so too.
Why would anyone? America didn't get the real albums in the first place, just these mash ups.
True, but to millions of people in the U.S. these albums are iconic because they were the ones they grew up with. I enjoy both U.S. and UK releases.
The American releases had the hits..no buying ep’s like uk had to. American releases so much better from the album art to the songs.
Cash grab yep. Did same thing. New albums dirty ?
Your opinion is like...
