Shibli’s brevity and bluntness is the books weight, and how you can feel it bearing down with each page! This was a great review and you handled this topic adeptly ♥️

Well, this sounds terrifying. I don't know as much as I would like to on this subject, and what I do know has been so distorted, it is difficult to tell the fact from fiction. I will have to check this out. Thanks for the review!

100% about the distortion of information. The perfect description of everything nowadays ♥️

Thank you for the review. Spoilers ahead. So I am wondering, what is the role of the dryness in the first half? What do you think the most important symbols are? Another thing: I thought it was super interesting that certain motifs connected the two women, like, at some point they both smell like gasoline, and it's so interesting. What do you think the old lady symolizes / means in the end? Does it means that in those moments she is so close to her death that she meets the spirit of the woman she has been looking for?

I really appreciate this comment and hope that someone can reply with insightful thoughts, but, to be honest, it's been 3 years since I read Minor Detail and the specifics of the story just aren't there in my mind anymore 💚 I should re-read it

This sounds like an incredibly hard book to read. Certainly too hard for me. I feel bad saying that because it's a very important topic but there are certain situations I just can't read about and sexual assault is one of those things. However this was a fantastic review thatproves exactly why your channel is a valuable asset to our community.
I was going to say that perhaps the lack of personality, thorough emotionless to the point nature of the first half was to illustrate the mindset required to be a part of a regime. To be a part of a machine that is capable of doing such awful things but given the contrast between the first and second half it seems clear that's exactly what the author was trying to convey.
Thank you for highlighting such an important topic at a crucial time. I'm sure braver readers than myself will pick this up and find some true value in it. We need people like you who are willing to actually shed light on the subject in such a fair, honest and concise manner.

Thank you very much mate, that means a lot ❤️ the most important part of reading is that your getting something from it and enjoying it. Never feel bad for what you read. I think a couple of weeks ago, I wouldn't have been able to pick it up. Thanks for watching as always mate ❤️
