Shez is a crestless unit and dark creator sword is a heroes relic. Doesn’t she take damage the penalty?

In Three Houses, the Dark Creator Sword uses two different Crests yes, in Three Hopes, it lacks a Crest icon next to it meaning that anyone can use it without penalty if they have access to A-Rank Swords. Conversely, the Sword of the Creator can only be used by two individuals in this game, and one of whom can be missed if you pick the option for it.

Why doesn’t it glow like the rest of them, even in Byleth’s hands?

@@alexandermoultrie5595 Crestless at most. Despite it having two Crests in it, it's treated as a 'regular' sword. Weapons with Crest Icons are shown to glow in their respective owner's hands, not sure if that's 100% the same case here.

Even in Edelgard’s hands, the dark creator sword doesn’t glow. As she had been experimented as a child and infused with the crest of flames.

@@alexandermoultrie5595 Again, the 'Dark Creator Sword' isn't a Hero Relic here so it won't harm anyone, as it's also not a Sacred Relic, it also won't benefit anyone for effects other than the granted double attacks with its effects unleashed. That said, it does have good stats when forging as it's an A-Rank weapon on top of being unique.

Ok, this battle is pretty funny on a three-fold level. Twice it comes from Scarlet Blaze's scenarios and finally here.
First, two examples are during the Empire's march on Garreg Mach in Chapter 4 in SB where it's one of the possible strategies and it makes Rhea and the Knights get horrified. Second it returns as a specific strategy that only works in one specific location in the endgame in SB and Thales gets irritated at Edelgard for her actions if you choose said strategy. Third example is pretty funny because it comes from the one nation that tends to be saner and more rational compared to the others yet their leader doesn't care for some reason and Edelgard and Claude each find the Kingdom's tactic to be out-of-the-box considering that it doesn't really fit Dimitri's personality in his more sane setting.
