- A bonus of my giant backlog of unpublished videos is that you are now getting a soft touches video in the middle of winter! This was requested sooooo long ago. I was requested to ramble too. I must say, it's classic ASMRvelous rambling, a little out there with a side of offensive. (Since this was filmed so long ago, I don't actually remember what I said. So if you're offended and going to comment on it, you're going to have to remind me.)

@@anthonymyers4378 you're definitely not, and I've found if you communicate this to the people around you, most of them will try to be considerate. Then that just leaves all the vague acquaintances and they holiday BS to deal with

I woke up from surgery once and the nurse was doing this to my arm. Back when there were enough nurses for one on one care. It was one of the most pleasant and comforting feelings I have ever experienced, despite the post op pain.
That sounds so lovely. My post op recovery moments have all started with hysterical screaming, so can't relate.
@@ASMRvelous oh there have been 1 or 2 of them in my time as well. This particular nurse was on the ball though, fair play to her.
I’m a recovery nurse, we only ever nurse a maximum of 2 patients at a time (one on one if necessary) so rest assured the attention should continue. Also I’ll remember the arm stroke with my lucky patients tomorrow 😉

@@ASMRvelous I just saw the comment you pinned regarding Jan. 1st. Unfortunately it’s too late to take back my well wishes but I just wanted to say I really, really dislike new years. I don’t know your reasons for it being tough and I’m not sure I understand mine, I just know for the past 15 years or so I get an incredibly heavy and sad or empty feeling every goddamn time. Most people seem fine so I wish them well as habit or with a genuine hope that they do well in life in general. Yours was the latter but regardless, now I know.

I have the same memory issues. My family always told me it was my problem for not committing things to memory, that it meant I didn't care enough about what was happening. It helps to hear I'm not alone and I'm going to look more into what might be happening and why. Thank you.
Yes, I think it could definitely be valuable to look into it. Compared to my peers it's disturbing how much is just gone from my mind. You are definitely not alone!
I’ve typed out a long, exhausted comment about my association with someone who experiences similar memory loss several times tonight but I just can’t get the words right. The jist of it is: no, there was never a therapist (because USA) so I don’t know if any of my experience is validated
yes, we always assumed it was a coping mechanism for her very traumatic life and I (as a preteen) personally always thought it was important to note that the memory loss began before her brain was done developing which, to me, meant it couldn’t discern the good memories from the bad ones.
Anyway It’s been 15+ years now and I still have that same opinion. Probably won’t help in doing the work to heal but you’re not alone.

Just curious: is the white noise happening while you record the video, or do you add it in post? If it's happening while you record, how do you generate it?
Thank you! The white noise is happening while I record. Because I don't have a sound studio where I record in, my microphones pick up "room noise". Since I've always preferred white noise in videos, I never tried to "fix" it. In the beginning I used to get a lot of comments complaining about my white noise and inadequate equipment, but all of those people gave up when they noticed I'm not changed aaaanything.

With me it also began before my brain was done developing, so I suppose that could explain why so many random things are missing. There are reasons, but to reassure you or if anyone else is reading along, don't worry, I did not have a very traumatic childhood.
