Kenny, thank you giving Hailie a place and time for her to let folks know more about who she is, why she's doing what she's doing. This is one of the best interviews I've seen in a really long time.
I was very impressed when she deftly turned the expected answer around from blaming other drivers for the wrecks that she has been in. Immediately she took charge of the answer and showed that everyone who was involved in the wrecks has a measure of responsibility in what happened. It was her way of quietly saying, "Look guys, here I come." Hailie is very respectful, her K&N days show that. When she sees that you are holding her up, not giving her respect for racing you super clean, here comes the bump and run that she didn't really want to use. When Hailie gives you the spot cleanly, she will remember if you gave her a spot cleanly, and she does remember. She reminds me a lot of Mark Martin, their style of racing is a lot alike.
Herman, Kenny, I once again thank you for giving Hailie the respect that she gives and should receive more of, and the opportunity for folks to learn more about her. She is subtle coating a sledgehammer. Drivers are better off being on her good side, otherwise her bumper is going to get bigger.

I had two girls, youngest almost 28 now… my older was interested in what women in sports and auto racing were doing, how they were doing, what kind of businesses they had. That sorta spurred me to pay attention to young NHRA and stock car women. Of course I always knew about Shirley Muldowney the drag racing twins, the Force girls, Shawna Robinson.
So I’ve been seeing Hailee Deegan work her way through. Totally different person than Danica. I think she’s going to find a way: she has perseverance and we can see what that did for Michael McDowell, Kulwicki, Mark Martin.

It's not funny but it's so obvious the little boys in trucks just can't handle her racing them, at least 50% of the time. Sure some of its just racing. See what the #2 truck did a few weeks back. Just ran her over MW said as much. I look at Ben and after all these years..7-8 wins in truck. Yes one championship. But people that post about Hallie act like she should win like Kyle Bush. When she was 17th in points and multiple dnf's. Like all the 50 other drivers she's a head of are better than her, hmmmmm. Or that she's in top gear and can't win...maybe that will take 74races or yeah maybe on dirt...it'snt that OK? I say she gets the chance to race around top ten with respect, maybe that's xfinity who knows, she starts winning that confidence is going to sky rocket.

I didn't really become aware of her until she did a Coffee with Kyle (Petty) and the funny thing is that it ended up being more about Hallie interviewing Kyle than Kyle interviewing Hallie. She was more or less picking his brain about how to deal with being an up and coming driver with a famous father who is a legend. Just type "Hallie Deegan Coffee with Kyle" into the search bar above and it should be the first hit. This was 3 1/2 years ago and you could see then how smart she really is just by the questions she was asking Kyle.

Herman !!! I have listened since you started this deal. Your interviews have gotten so much better and today I believe you just deserve a compliment . You're starting to sound like Earnhardt riding in the pickup talking to a friend while taking care of the ranch. Try some Bonneville racing next. Lol !😂

Come on Kenny !! Hailie Deegan is one of the Women’s best race car drivers ??💩 Did you get Paid to Suck up !!?? I’m a Big Hailie Deegan fan !!❤️❤️ But she plays to much - does not take truck racing seriously!! She should be at the Race shop 4 Days a Week !! And on the Simulator at night every night she is not racing !! The ARCA driver of the 55 is twice as Good as Hailie !! We all want Hailie to win but she needs a retired super driver to mentor her !! A big winner of many races to guide her !! Kyle Petty said D - Patrick was a person who drives a race car not a Race car Driver !! At this point Hailie is no where near what D-Patrick was !! Please get Hailie some Help !! Or she will be a never was !! Hailie Please don’t be just a lap driver !! Please be P1 winners !!! ❤ we wish you well and Pray you take this Serious !! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😳😳😳😳

I hope she gets an opportunity to step into the next level. Kenny said it right, dog eat dog, but watching her drive I think the Xfinity car will fit her driving style better. Bring back the aggression and go get'em girl!

I can't believe how they've turned the truck series into a development series for Xfinity. Completely different vehicles, different engines, different racing styles.

Hailie's comment about drivers not interacting with each other. Has the family of Nascar changed? What happened to drivers helping each other with advice, a place to stay, hanging out when not at the race track. What has endeared the sport of Nascar to me is Richard Petty giving Michael Waltrip a place to stay, Harvick sleeping on Hornadays couch, Harvick hiring Hornaday to drive for him, the Wallace brothers, the Burtons, multiple generations competing, the death of sons and family but still going on.

I understand East and West Coast are two different animals. East you have more late models and sprints. Out West you have off-road desert racing and sprint cars, probably not as big in late models since there is more road racing. Ohio is unique because you kind of get everything but off road desert racing.

I have watched this on 4-different occasions, and each time I have taken something new from it that I can really appreciate. I want to thank you Kenny for pointing out The great Jeff Gordon did not really perform that well in low horse power cars like IROC, Jeff had that awesome ability to drive his car with the throttle. Also, for pointing out, that Jimmy Johnson barely won 1-Exfinity race, but when moved to Cup, his ability to drive the car with the throttle really propelled him to greatness. I don't think the Craftsman truck series was a good fit for her, based on exactly how her first 2-years went, with limited practice, and sometimes no practice. I started following Hailie after watching Kevin Harvick talk about racing beside her for several laps battling for position and how she demonstrated a natural talent for racing but not only that racing the right way. This young lady is like no other that has come before her and I am excited to watch her progress. She continues to push her self into new environments and types of racing, like running in the marathon events of the Chili Bowl. I commented to my wife so many times, that I had wished that Tony Stewart had encouraged Danica Patrick into once again visiting sprint cars on dirt tracks. I think of the recent example of Kyle Larson winning the Cup series championship the year of his return after racing all over the country any anything sprint car related. I think it is invaluable the experience of learning how to drive the car with throttle and continuously search where you can make speed on a dirt track. My apologies, I did not intend to make this post so long.

Good job Kenny! I’m glad you mentioned the difference between trucks and xfin. A lot of fans that have never raced they give drivers hell when Honestly in trucks the last 10yrs they run each other over and it’s not racing as I knew it. Anybody can take someone out. I was taught Your #1 goal is “FINISH THE RACE”. Then after you finish damage free. Your next goal is get a top 10 or 20. -- then progress. Today the kids don’t get spoon fed. I’ve heard countless owners with a new driver. Expecting them to win race 1. When we both know circle track or road racing is all experienced based. It’s not like drag racing where defense isn’t a factor. -- In stock cars/dirt cars. You have offensive moves / defensive moves. Everytime someone puts a new move on you, it gets burned into your brain. It takes years to build that tool box up and fans don’t seem to understand that. I won a ton of races simply by shoveling air under back bumpers. I put them on ice skates 10 times in the last 5 laps. So by the last lap I wore them down mentally. But that took me 3-5yrs to figure out exactly how to do it incognito.
