Because schools only want you to comply and never question authority so you grow up to be a sheep.

that was a really excellent video! I never knew a puddle/mud/stone area next to the flowers was beneficial to the butterflies. I've been interested in butterfly gardens for like 5 years, thankyou for that!!!

Josh Teasdale yes, they need. Specially males. They get minarels to increase the chance of getting mating partner. The male who has more mineral stored in the body , will be fittest for mating. They transfer minarels to female/ egg through mating .But it is very small spot given here. Atleast 20-50sq ft . I have a buttefly garden at my home since 2005.

@@invaderzim1265 Just get some long and THIN poles or sticks and stick them in the ground, pointing straight up towards the sky.
The dragonflies will perch there and eat any flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and any other flying pest that goes past them.
Make sure to have space between each stick. I'd say at least 2 or 3 feet
Also, make sure they're sturdy and not wobbly so that the dragonflies can perch easier

Butterfly feeders, basically rotting fruit on a pedestal, brings in a whole new cross section of butterflies that don't come to flowers often.
Red Spotted Purples, Ruddy Daggerwings, Emperors and Malachite all will come to overripe apples, bananas and mangoes.
