You'd think I'd remember that these were backwards thread... I stuck a regular thread stud in the hole. I plan to swap them all out if this thing goes for more than half a mile.

A bit of oil on all those moving parts inside the drum will work wonders. I usually take the star wheel apart and wire brush the threads and grease them on assembly. That left hand thread wheel stud is a first for me. I'd have done the same and broken some off before (IF) I figured it out. When we were kids and we'd get a cold, my mom would make what they call a mustard poultice and put it between cloth and lay it on my chest. It has an effect to loosen up stuff somehow. Perhaps the smell alone? It's a hard one but you gotta try to quit the cigarettes. It is a %&$cker to quit them, I know. I would quit for a day and then buy a pack and smoke one and get disgusted with myself and toss the pack in the ditch and drive away. Two hours later I was back in the ditch looking for those G Dammed cigarettes. I repeated this cycle many times then once when I had a horrible cold and couldn't breathe I quit---and that was it. It is very hard to get away from them but life is better once you are free--no matter how long you've smoked. I wonder why international put those left hand wheel nuts on their chasis? Maybe they'd had some customers lose a wheel at one time. I hope you're feeling better soon. Take Care

There were a few manufacturers that did this back in the day. I know for sure Ford, Dodge and of course IH. As I've been told, it was to keep lugs from unscrewing on their own. I'm back in shape now, much as I ever will be anyhow. I try and keep myself to 5 smokes a day but when I'm working on something and especially when I get stumped it's become part of my thought process to step back and roll a cigarette. Then and only then does my brain start working. I'd love to have my steam back but I also do not have the will. I think something has to happen where I have no choice.

@@heliarche I heard it said once by a friend of mine that things you want to quit don't take WILL power....They take WON'T power. Ha ha ha I thought that was a clever twist on an old phrase. It can be a long process to give up our old friends. I used to have my morning coffee and smoke but now coffee alone is fine and I don't even have a craving. You have to do it a s a family or move to a cave by yourself until the cravings pass, There is no way to do in when others smoke in your company. Anyway, sorry for hijacking the thread and making it about smoking. I thought you would be on your yacht in the Maldives this week ....what happened....The crew on strike again?

@@EverydayProjects I've heard it. You cut off from any smokers, or drunks, junkies, whatever you're trying to kick. Try to have all your ducks in a row too but does that ever really happen? I think I'd have to get away from my work as well as smoking has engrained itself in my thought process.

@@EverydayProjects Man... If only there was somewhere remote, like out on the open sea or something where a guy could go and have no worries. Say some sort of house type of thing with all the amenities but it would float. A sort of sea going craft but you could stay as long as you needed to kick a bad habit and you only had to worry about getting yourself in line. I know it sounds insane but I think that could be done.
