Front Court Attack-HD

A look at all the shots played to the front court (from mid court or deeper) by Ramy Ashour in one game against Nick Matthew. When Ramy plays the ball to the front court in this game he is contacting the ball with his racquet from a height above the tin (yes there are a couple exceptions). If Ramy is hitting balls to the front court when striking the ball above the height of the Tin, he is always hitting a ball into the front court with a racquet path from higher to low.
When do you hit the ball to the front court? Are you disciplined enough and calculating enough to wait for the right balls to hit to the front court? Do you force the issue and try to drop from the back court when the ball is below the height of the tin?

Really interesting - guess I just assumed many of his drops from the back were pure feel, but as you point out he's hitting down with enough pace to be consistent.

@MrMongolianMonkey straight from his BIO on the PSA web site. Same result on Wikipedia. If I run into Ramy I will ask if I can measure his height...He may have grown since his BIO on the PSA Rankings. He must only be 16 in the photo for his BIO.
