i try to experiment with paint rust without rely on enamel/oilpaint/pigment only use acrylic, but not got a very good result, i guess i have to go back to the old method as you demonstrate here. Thank you showing it, i currenlly don't know how to make spare track look good as well

Using Winsor&Newton brushes for weathering is way too bold, mate! I only use them for figure painting!
