It's ironic that his first book is about accepting his long nose and then they had to get rid of it. lol That said, another thing I noticed is that he started out colored a dark brown, and ended up a very light tan. Any reasoning behind that?
So that children would more likely like the character. There's already studies done that kids prefer light skinned dolls as opposed to dark ones. This is a normal bias. A longer nose on a character makes it less "childish".
@@M.lizz1I guess that depends on what you mean by "nomal" bias. If normal means common, I suppose so. But is that bias not likely BECAUSE of kids not seeing dark skinned characters portrayed as the standard of good and beauty? That tends to be the assumption I have seen, and it makes sense to me. I guess we'll know for sure soon enough, considering that in the last decade or so, Black has been much more widely protrayed as beautiful. You'd think that would affect the doll bias as years pass.
