He may have begged for his life a bit, but he wasn’t a coward afraid of dying. He was afraid of leaving his girls without a daughter. At least gotta give Pagani credit for thinking about his daughters in his final breath
@@brendonsmith3080I feel Lincoln would have spared Pagani like he did Enzo but Derazio was a straight up sociopath who didn’t care wether he lived or died. Like he says “We haven’t lost anything of significance except for some men and they can be replaced. They are the easiest thing to replace. So go ahead and kill me I’ll be replaced tomorrow.”
That shit broke my heart when I played my first time and I was feening for this game since E3 in 2016 and I knew it was gonna happen but not literally in the beginning I cried for Sammy and Ellis both💔
I love the relationship between Vito and Lincoln. They're both disciplined and dedicated, as well as the best trained of all the named characters. Any time the other two Underbosses gave me a mission that went fucky, it felt like they didn't think things through but Vito's felt more like something unexpected happened. Even then, there's lot less shouting at Lincoln and a lot more floating ideas. Experience talks, clearly.
3 most brutal deaths of the entire game 1. Roman Barbieri Roman was tortured by Burke for unknown period of time, presumably weeks. Making it the slowest and most painful death in the entire series. 2. Tommy Marcano Tommy was set on fire and was bleeding to death on top of it. Burning is especially painful. 3. Olivia marcano Olivia wasn’t killed by Lincoln but by her nephew, georgie. She still was killed rather brutally judging from the blood soaked bed and red eyes. Somehow I think Georgie being the killer makes it worse, like she was betrayed by family (by marriage)
@@kirillrasskazov5082true, but she *did* get away with it, so to speak. If she was confirmed Lucio’s killer she never would’ve met Lincoln Clay, so in her mind going from “oh it’s Georgie, probably has some chocolates” to “oh shit I’m drowning in my own blood” must’ve been a twist.
Can I just say, that I don't know if I've ever seen razor bumps on a video game character until Lincoln Clay. It's a pretty simple and small detail, that surprisingly isn't very common on video game character designs.
This game was a great game still playable it really resonated with me cause I'm from New Orleans the city look like new Orleans in the 60s-70s Overall great game
This game was incredible to me. It really did seem to get alot of hate but not a single bit of it ever came from me. Was counting days ever since I saw the first teaser trailer. For all of its "cons" always had 2 more pros to balance it out. Great game
The soundtrack and story is great. If the game was better refined (no bugs/glitches) and the gameplay wasn't repetitive, and there was more to do in the open world, then it could've possibly been a contender for game of the year
Yeah you so right. I wrote a list of some random content that some, maybe many of us, (me for certain) would have loved to find out was included in this game... See, I'm super-imaginative; an old school guy who grew up on action comics and black & white horror mags, and the closest we ever got to something like the GTA series or the Mafia games was Saturday morning cartoons and tv shows like Batman, Superman, Spiderman, The Fantastic Four, Aqua Man, The Punisher, The Green Hornet, ,& Kato- can't ever forget my first glimpse of Bruce Lee in that role), and so on. Comics was the sht. I used to collect and trade em. BTW: Earlier GTA games actually had gyms where you worked out to make your character fit and strong. And if you ate too much fast food, you got fat literally, and couldn't run as fast. Haha. They had bowling, pool, etc, and you could take your girlfriend out on the town for movies, and other activities. They should never have dropped those pastimes and hobbies, and stuff like jobs, bounty hunting, etc. Well the game developers for this issue I heard actually rushed this game out, ala- tons of glitches. Just think how much more time you would spend between missions doing stuff like hanging out with your crew- like that one scene where they all get drunk, and end up burying a body! Funny. It needs more random real-world stuff other than just police chasing you all the time. There's a bunch of fine ladies in the city; of all races, and we can't do anything with them! Or Lincoln's place of business that you spend all that time and money customizing- but there's nothing in there to keep you coming back.. not even a live jazz band to kick back and listen to, like a few of them bars in the French Quarter. He does have a bar in what's her name's dinner club, bar, or whatever You only have the one act: the sexy female singer repeating the same steps endlessly. If they do eventually make a really solid remake- (Think R. E. 4, The Re-do) I'm totally on board. When you look at the mansions and the complexity of the city's layout- especially downtown, but also like, the vastness of the ocean all around the perimeter of New Bordeaux, you just KNOW they sort of wasted some potential there. And finally this: The biggest let-down is after conquering the whole darn city, and you and your crew are now 'runnin' thangs', there literally are zero activities, unless you count wasting time trying to pick up every single collectible, for which you get nothing. I'll probably delete this soon because it's too long. But I will say that Mafia 3 and Lincoln Clay will forever remain high on my good games and character list, even though I've played it through now 4 times. There are two very troublesome spots players will encounter, where if you don't act fast enough, or press the wrong buttons, you could one: lose your spot and go into perpetual fail mode, or two: actually lose all your progress because the loading screen goes into a loop. I still want more, please, without the glitches! Haha. Thanks for reading, see you in the French Quarter.. (oh wait- there's also no multiplayer option) As the comics used to say: DRAT!😅 PSS: THE VERY BEST THING IN THIS GAME (next to the art and girl pics, haha) WAS, AND IS, THE MUSIC. If you know your music, then you know how many memorable songs and classic groups from that time period were playing on the radio stations. Excellent inclusion!
@@justsomeone6515agreed the way you had to takeover territories was just so boring and got stale quick. The story, graphics and world was great. I wish they did a sequel to Lincolns story but unfortunately looks like they’re going back in time
I know Frank Castle and Lincoln Clay would have two things in common both being Vietnam War Veterans. For all three killing mobsters and intimidating them.
3 fastest kills in entire game 1. Lincoln Clay Lincoln has the opportunity to kill his underbosses and rule New Bordeaux alone, forcing father James to plant a bomb in his car. Lincoln’s death was unexpected and fast. 2. Tony Derazio Tony was thrown from the top floor of his own building, whilst relatively painless must still have been scary 3. Baka Baka the (fake?) leader of the Haitian mob had his neck broke after being shot by Lincoln. A snapped neck is fast but a bullet made it painful.
Watching the final scene between Sal Marcano and Lincoln Clay, truly feels like a scene that would’ve made it Oscar worthy if the game was actually a movie. Contemplating on the pain and fears they had, all the death that occurred before and after Sammy’s, it’s like they accepted the futility of the chaos. Even Sal’s “I’ll gonna be waiting for you Lincoln Clay. This won’t be the last time we see each other.” sends chills as Lincoln will never get Sal Marcano out of his mind
When Burke took revenge against Barbieri, he took his sweet time. Hell, smashing his legs into dust then leaving him in the trunk of a car to not be found until the Army Corps of Engineers dredged the lake shows just how personal he had it against Roman

I'm not gonna lie. The first time that I saw the Marcanos' betrayal cutscene, I was in absolute shock, I couldn't believe what just happened. That moment haunted me for a while after seeing that, to the point that I even had a few fever dreams of a distorted and randomized versions of Mafia 3, trying to find a way to avoid that moment to ever happen and save Sammy, Ellis and Danny from Sal and Giorgi's betratayal.
