  • The Yokohama Chinatown (横浜中華街) is the largest Chinatown in Japan and in Asia. It is also one of the historic Chinatowns in Asia. Located in Yokohama City, of Kanagawa Prefecture, this Chinatown is always bustling with tourists and the local Japanese, in search of good Chinese food or souvenirs. Yokohama Chinatown has many entrances and each entrance has a beautiful Chinese themed gate. There are two beautiful Chinese temples, one dedicated to the "Goddess of Sea" and other the "Holy King Guan". Both temples are very famous among the immigrant Chinese in Japan. As with many other Chinatowns, there are many shops that sell Chinese goods, everything from groceries to porcelain made items. Hope you get a chance to visit and enjoy.

Fun place! I used to go there in the '70's, and again in 2010. Good times!
