This one single video shows that Japan is at another level in respect of public decency, cleanliness, engineering, city planning, and technology. Japan is the perfect example of seamless meshing of Asian culture and Western engineering.
Thanks for sharing! 10 years ago, I worked in Tokyo for a year and I had to take Monorail everyday to commute. The video brings me all those memories! I cried when I saw the stations and those audio messages, it was 10 years ago but they are just like yesterday: no really changed much except the Tokyo gas's large gas ball seems to be removed. Now I am in US but I certainly add Tokyo and Monorail to my plan this year!
Even though this video is from 5 years ago, I need to point out that Haneda Airport is not a domestic airport as stated in this video. Haneda also deals with plenty of international flights as Narita does, including from Air Canada which I have used in the past. The big sign by the air traffic control tower at Haneda clearly states "Tokyo International Airport".
what is this strange ringing tone, as if a phone call comes in. Is that a kind of warning sign for an approaching train? for example at 3:01 , 4:00 , 6:37
This technology is amazing but i'm just curious how was the switching of track executed is it automatic or manually operated by human? is there a chance that the two trains will collided each other?
Good question, I think the entire process is automated using the normal train signalling like system. Interesting part is that instead of iron train tracks they have the concrete tracks used for the Monorail.
If this is first time for you in Japan, then it may be a little bit scary but it is the case going to any new country anyway. Just make sure that you plan your day properly using the web sites like www.japan-guide.com. Most of the train/bus stations have "information centers" and they have people who speak English and they will be more than happy to help you. Enjoy your trip!!!
***** Cheers. I guess just the first time accessing the trains, and changing trains will feel overwhelming after such long flights, but thanks to the computer I at least have instructions.

A perfect transit solution 👏

It reminds passengers that the monorail is living the station.

Is there a chance the track will bend?
Sr. No. it will be over engineered to have a margin of safety to support the weight.
When was this filmed?
Are the blossoms out yet?
if you are interested in Cheery Blossoms, use this link to see the cherry blossom forecast for 2014: www.japan-guide.com/e/e2011.html
***** Arigato. Looks like the blossoms may put on a nice showing at the Takayama festival. Excited for my up coming travel.
Can I use my JR rail pass on this?
Yes, you can.
Arigato.
Do you know what maximum speed this train сan do?
80 KmPH (around 50 miles per hour).
***** thanks!
Is like Rivers State Monorail
Michael Keshi No. Search UA-cam for that one, different country, different continent, different design. AFAIK the Rivers one isn't open yet.
I'm scared I'm going to get lost.
