Thank you! I just started with Chinese two months ago, so not so confident to write this in Chinese...yet.
    Thank you anyway!
    谢谢!

Loving the channel, 这个视频在帮助我提高我的中文. Can I suggest you make it more clear somewhere on your channel that you do both traditional and simplified videos because I was originally out off as soon as I saw the traditional because I'm learning simplified.
Love the channel really helping me with my Chinese, spoken word from native speakers provides alot of meaning that u can't get from just reading.

How do you transfer money to the relevant apps? Do you need a local bank account to link with? Can a foreigner open a local bank account?

      Thank you for the comment!
For your question, I'm not sure if Wechat or Alipay could work in your country, cos I am still living in mainland China. But both apps provide oversea service. You could have a try.
However, for foreigners in China, you can open an account in any Chinese bank, then link your bank account to the app. As far as I know, none of my foreigner friends got problem with this.

Anyone else scared of giftgiving now? Cause Chinese has a lot of homophones, including the word "homophone". Anyways, this video helped quite a bit; I didn't know about the shoulder pat thing, but I had heard that some people interpret a pat on the head as an attempt to steal one's soul. Not sure how true that last one is.

Thank you for your sharing. I assume there is a difference from province to province. It is impolite to pat on the shoulder in Canton. And about patting on the head, I haven't heard about the saying of stealing one's soul, but definitely, it is impolite in China.

    我住在香港,有時候去深圳玩。大部分地方不會接受用現金或者信用卡付款,非常麻煩!

      因為在香港只能用“wechat pay HK”, 但跟“微信支付”有點不一樣的,所以很多大陸商店不會接受。。。

8:23 As a Japanese, I am concerned that some Chinese may be surprised or feel complicated by the designation 'Taiwan' or 'Taiwanese'. Probably not many Chinese are paying attention to this channel, but since Taiwan is included or not 'in the 7 Things NOT to Do in China', which is the theme of this report, even the same Chinese may have different opinions.

As a language teaching channel, our goal is to reveal how a certain language is used among native speakers. Beyond this, we definitely don't intend to touch anybody's nerve.

For your question, I can only answer it according to my personal experience. What I can see is the new generation is not very likely to do it, however, for the old generation, like my parents or my grandparents ( generally people were born before 1970s), they might do what you said.
And it is more or less about individual's education level and personal habit.
