Just wanted to tell you that these videos are extremely interesting. As a hypixel skyblock UA-camr it's cool to see the value of in game items can have on hypixel. It's insane to see these prices because imagine sb items since sb is like 20 times more popular.
I've actually been around the skyblock market a bit myself. A while ago squidkid made an excellent video where he interviewed one of the very first people to get into macroing and botting for skyblock coins. Before that, I remember a million gold was worth 5-6$ (this was October of 2019). The dude who first got into that market made an **insane** amount of money. iirc he said something along the lines of "enough to pay for my college tuition and my little brother's"
Nowadays skyblock coins are worth about 30-60 cents per million depending on the supplier. Because of the sheer number of macroers, botters, boosters, etc, the skyblock market is very inflated.
On the pit, the most sought after items aren't easy to obtain-as mystic enchanting is based entirely on RNG. This and the fact that it's difficult to exploit the game for profit on a massive scale mean that the pit's market is actually pretty stable. A small amount of new items flowing in means inflation is gradual, but an influx of big IRL buyers has balanced things out. The pit economy is a mostly closed system, and things are pretty cool around here.

This is how my boy 6474/rezi took down the most powerful pit group of all time, in one sentence. His entire goal was just to take down huntsmen, he never planned on buying anything LOL
All those years of trust fun and good times just to scrap all of that and fight over a fat stack of paper bills. Really goes to show the nature of humans. Honestly pathetic. Yes, my main goal was to split huntsmen and give myself some entertainment knowing there would most likely be a betrayal given what I knew about huntsmen, but my offer was serious and I was willing to pay if It all worked out in the end.
