Hi there. First off. You are the first person who has actually persuaded me to give this a go. I watched this video when you uploaded it, and the next day started designing. I have put 13 designs up already and am working on more. But! This morning I find out about Apprentice and Artisan accounts. This is something not mentioned in your video. Maybe you could do one on this and give some advice on how to get upgraded?
Hi Greg. I was hoping to find some info on t-shirts fabric quality and styles. When we create our designs, we do not have an option to pick high quality fabrics, or cropped t-shirts or cloud hoodies? Thank you
Thank you for your valuable info. I have a question: how does original art work do on t'shirts? I'm a freelance illustrator and would like to place my original art on the product. Of course following your tips for niches, etc.
Hi Greg! Firstly, I wanted to thank you for all your content, it's been super helpful and inspiring. A question, I wondered if I don't always pick SVG (scalable vector graphics) will that affect my final t-shirt print quality? Should I only use ones that I can edit the colour on? (I am using Place It) Thank you so much for your time!😀
Hey Greg! I randomly came across your channel and feel inspired to get this process going with passive POD! Thank you so much for providing such great content to the world :) I already am creating some designs and have a question for you. I was wondering if you might have some advice on how to keep others from copying my original designs? Have you come across this before? And how did you handle it? Looking forward to hearing your advice Greg! Thanks again :D

Hey there, I started last week with POD. I started with an older video of you and now I watched this one. The problem I have is, that I followed all of your steps but my Teepublic shop got the ranke „Apprentice“ which means, that nobody can see my art. What can I do?
Thank you for making such a great and informative video you have inspired me to setup accounts for all the stores and start my Print on Demand journey. Thank you and god bless you 🙌🏾
My question is if it’s a really popular idea I get there’s a lot of competition but doesn’t that also mean there could be more sale? Just wondering I’m 18 years old and trying to get started
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge on POD! Your videos are very helpful. I have a question, do you get a notification from the platforms every time someone buys one of your designs? Or do you receive the information once a month?
Thanks! That's a shame to hear.. I agree, not cool. To each their own I guess. Thanks again for the comment though! I've got some good videos in the works coming soon!
@@GregGottfried thank you I was thinking to try to open an account from Printful Website but after I watched your videos. I am planning to try some several POD link Website that you recommended.
Hey Greg, thanks so much for the helpful videos. Question - other than the letter grade on M.I., is there another even more granular way to search for the "better A's"? Are all A's considered equal? Or is there other criteria you look for?
Great question. I treat anything that has low products uploaded and low BSR count as something to go into. There's a happy-medium of trying to find niches with no competitors, and making sure they still have search traffic. There may be some with nearly 0 products uploaded and 0 BSR and although that means there are literally 0 competitors, that could also translate into meaning there is no traffic. I generally look for "low" and then go for it because you never know if one of them will do exceptionally well. I hope that all makes sense and helps!
@@GregGottfried Thanks, that makes sense and is very helpful. If I could ask one more quick follow-up, though, what kind of number ranges are we talking that you consider low but not too low? Like 50-200 ish? Your frame of reference is certainly valuable here to me. TIA

Hi Greg, I created a new account, made some designs and uploaded onto teepublic, but I don't see it listed when I try to search my own design. Is there some waiting period after designs are uploaded or is there something that wasn't set up correctly?
My Goodness! I had no idea this even exist. There must be a valid reason why your video pops up on my feed. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. By the way, does this work for anyone living outside The US? I'm going to try it🙂
Thank u for your info, just a question,do this site’s have a dashboard or something that u see your selling, and it is showed how many u earn? I mean the exact amount how do they split the winning Regards
Hi Greg, thank you for you video. On TeePublic for example: Would you keep your designs in English, or does it make sense to address specific countries and languages? For example designs in German for the German market? Thank you, Daniel
Quick question please, what is the net profit from each t-shirt one can expect? In other words, hoe many per month would you have to sell to earn between 3-5k/month? Thanks! Very practically helpful video!
Great question! Net profit is about $3-5 per tshirt sale. Hoodies/sweatshirts are about double that. Let’s call it $4 per shirt, so about 1000 sales per month to make $4000/mo. Some designs will sell much better than others, it’s hard to predict which will take off. My best average would be estimating $1/mo profit per design uploaded (per site). So if you’re uploading to the big 3 POD sites (Amazon, RedBubble, Teepublic) then I’d guess around 1333 designs uploaded total to be earning around $4000/mo profit. Sounds like a lot at first, but once you get the hang of it you can start really cranking out designs. I hope that’s helpful!
@@GregGottfried thanks a million for your response, you’re very kind and your answer is very helpful! The reason I asked was because right after I’ve uploaded my first design I purchased a mans t, a woman’s v-neck t and a hat and it shows that I have 3 items sold and $3 profit… so it made me wonder if net profit is $1 per any item sold, which wouldn’t make much sense 😅
Great question. The issue with Canva is not with the quality, but rather with the usage rights. Not everything on Canva is copyright free and commercially usable like Placeit. I hope that helps save some hassle!
Great video Greg! A couple questions. How do you get paid on Teepublic? And how do you increase rank and visibility for our designs. I'm sure our stuff doesn't go straight to the top right away.
Thanks! In the bottom left corner you can go to your settings and add your PayPal email 👍 As for ranking, it comes down to having low competition sub-niches and keywords in your listing. More on the listing keywords here: How to Write Print On Demand Titles & Descriptions That Sell ua-cam.com/video/_WRiWIE7mkU/v-deo.html
I'm not a beginner though I've yet to actually start selling. Your videos have been most informative, educational and practical. No fluff. Solid. Wouldn't miss any of them! 🙏 Two questions- are the discounts time sensitive? Does Merch Informer have annual pricing?
Thank you, I appreciate that. If there's every anything specific you'd like to see covered in videos just let me know! I don't have any official word on the coupon cod expirations but with most things online they come and go. To the best of my knowledge, the Merch Informer code should be here to stay (hopefully), but the Placeit one may only be active for another couple months. Also, yes Merch Informer has annual pricing and the coupon code applies! Hope that helps!

Hey Greg, have you had any experience with promoting your POD Designs with TikTok Shop? TikTok Shop hasn't released in Germany yet (where I'm from), but when it does, it usually gets heavily promoted by TikTok because TikTok wants that their new tools get used. So I want to be ready when it gets released and America already has TikTok Shop. 2. Question: Will there be an advanced POD Tut from you, since most of your videos are for beginners?
Great question! I have not personally used it for POD so I can't add much value yet. As for the advanced POD tutorials, yes I'd be happy to put some together! Do you have any specific areas you'd like to see focused on?
Hi Greg I put in what is on my t shirt and amazon said not to use my brand name, however it is not my brand name and chat gpt said to leave of the words that they may see as a brand and just use the last half of the saying. What would you do?
Hey brother it’s really really good. I’m new to this and I would like to ask how do I connect my bank account to POD so whenever there’s sales my share could come in through to my account. I know it may sound silly and funny but I am really eager to learn. Thanks.🙏
Are you able to choose what brand tshirt/sweatshirt you want to use with Amazon Print on Demand. For instance there are a few but I like the Cotton Heritage/Bella and Canvas brand. Also tags/labels is that an option to add.
Really good question. I recommend leaving it as US marketplace because the majority of the sales come from the US. There are no issues being a seller located outside of the US and selling within the US.
@@GregGottfried On merch by amazon does it upload it to all the markets so like US and UK so it wouldnt matter what amazon region im in and actually use?
Hello! Please tell me if copyright rights apply to the use of country names in your designs, or simple words like cool, life, universe, swimming, team, love, sun, etc.?
Hi , Thanks for your valuable content, Lots of learning from this video , I have one question, Can I use AI generated image for Graphic design for T shirt ?
What is the realistic percentage of individuals who can or will become profitable doing this kind of work. Is it really as easy as it sounds or is there a luck factor involved.
Hi Greg, the video is super as always, just one important question- how money after sales will come to your account? how to set all that stuff? Maybe you have another tutorial where you explain all steps. Thanks in advance.
Hey Greg, I think your videos are awesome, I just have one complaint. I bought the $10. T-shirt design package, only to discover it expired before I got a chance to print it off. It said I needed to get a new code or something. Whatever it is... I need your help! Thanks Greg.
This Is Ah Great Video, Thank You Greg! Just One Question, Or Maybe I Missed It Somewhere Alongg The Way, But How To Do We Collect Our Funds? As In Do We Connect Our Bank Accounts To Said Websites Or Do They Give Us Our Own Acct?
Right on, you're going to love them..! We get paid each month automatically. Fund build up in your account so you can see ahead of time in your dashboard on each site how much you'll be paid the coming month.
Would you recommend making a version with black text and a version with white text to sell as two different shirts for lighter and darker colors? Awesome videos by the way!
Yes very much so, but you have to focus on the sub-niches for it to work. If you use the right strategy, it's one of the best business models out there. More on earnings here: ua-cam.com/video/1kbFLhjFTGE/v-deo.html
Hi! So I get that the subniches will be less saturated markets. But wouldn't the potential buyer need to be searching for the subniche, for example, cruiser motorcycle and not motorcycle for your shirt to come up in the list? Or the idea is you have all the tags there and your listing comes up with motorcycles and they pick yours because they wanted something more specific?

What is the realistic percentage of individuals who can or will become profitable doing this kind of work. Is it really as easy as it sounds or is there a luck factor involved.
Thanks for this video
One question
What's the process to use the 3-day trial on merch informer?
Brilliant tutorial
@@kieranrafferty7179 Thanks! If you run into any questions just let me know 👍
Hi Greg, the video is super as always, just one important question- how money after sales will come to your account? how to set all that stuff? Maybe you have another tutorial where you explain all steps. Thanks in advance.
Hey Greg, I think your videos are awesome, I just have one complaint. I bought the $10. T-shirt design package, only to discover it expired before I got a chance to print it off. It said I needed to get a new code or something. Whatever it is... I need your help! Thanks Greg.
Hey Daniel, Sorry about that! I just looked into this and emailed you instructions on how to download it again. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thank you Greg!! This is so helpful!!
Happy to help! Thanks for taking the time to comment too.. As always, if you run into any questions just let me know 👍
Thank you for the tutorial!
Glad it was helpful!
Besides T-shirt, what products should I begin with POD??
This Is Ah Great Video, Thank You Greg! Just One Question, Or Maybe I Missed It Somewhere Alongg The Way, But How To Do We Collect Our Funds? As In Do We Connect Our Bank Accounts To Said Websites Or Do They Give Us Our Own Acct?
I’m sure it differs from site to site. Reach out to their support or the FAQ’s (or google it).
Which program/app/platform do you use to create images for t-shirt?
This is how I make mine: ua-cam.com/video/1gszGtQJjQ0/v-deo.html I hope that helps!
@@GregGottfried thankyou
wow- i am ready-ordered your 10 phrases download. how and when do you get paid. after sale?
Right on, you're going to love them..! We get paid each month automatically. Fund build up in your account so you can see ahead of time in your dashboard on each site how much you'll be paid the coming month.
Great video! Thank you so much for the info!
Great strategy! Great tutorial. Question. What if you are an artist and would like to put your own art on T-shirts for people to buy?
If you can digitize it then 100% yes. Artists do it all the time.
Absolutely! As long as you can upload it as a PNG with a transparent background you can sell it on these sites the same way👍
If you are imaginative and create an art which resonate the trending niches of T-shirts then no harm to try on with ur own designs on few T-shirts
Hi, I wonder how to keep a record of all my POD listings on different websites.
Do I need to open an LLC to have my POD business?
Great question. No you do not. You can use your name for everything 😀
Hey Greg, do you have a video on how you automate some of your processes or design and list in bulk? Thanks!
I don't have one right now but I'll see if I can put one together for you soon!
@@GregGottfried That'd be great, thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
No worries! If you run into any questions just let me know 👍
Excellent tutorial Greg, thank you!
Happy to help! As always if you need anything just let me know!
Would you recommend making a version with black text and a version with white text to sell as two different shirts for lighter and darker colors? Awesome videos by the way!
POD is still profitable in 2024?
How much on an average someone can earn monthly???
Yes very much so, but you have to focus on the sub-niches for it to work. If you use the right strategy, it's one of the best business models out there. More on earnings here: ua-cam.com/video/1kbFLhjFTGE/v-deo.html
do text-only designs work?
Excellent!
Thanks! If you run into any questions just let me know 👍
Such a decent content. Please don't disappear again
That's a great video! I want to expand my POD supplier in 4 month later! Can you suggest me another POD supplier, which has more cost-effective?
I use Printify and Merchize. But I prefer Merchize more, because of competitive cost and product quality. You can try it.
Wow is nice I love your tutorial Greg
Thank you!
Sir i am Sandeep from India and i want to create an account on merch by Amazon. Here the bank for my area is not supported so as you said in one of your videos i tried to create one account on payoneer but it is quite tough there and it is asking for a lot of information that i have not plus it is showing charges too. So can you please make one more video to make us understand about this or any other way to solve this problem. I will be thankful.
Thank you for sharing all this information.
Hi Greg, just wanting to know if someone is only able to make between $1-$2 per sale on their tshirt designs as claimed by another UA-camr who goes by the name Shimmy?
Hey thanks for asking! No thats not true, there’s a lot of misinformation out there. It’s about $5 per sale on average. This video shows more on that at about 10 minutes in ua-cam.com/video/GJzH7QHECnQ/v-deo.html More on this specific topic coming next week actually 😀
@@GregGottfried Thanks very much for the reply. And will this also apply if I don't accepted into Amazon?
Can I upload an image from my PC to use inPlaceit?
Yes you can 👍 on the bottom left you can click add, graphic, then upload
Please help.. I tried to create an acct to Placeit and a pop up about Selling or sharing my info. Your video didn’t mention that so what to do with that.
