Thanks for watching. Let me know what you think.
Tremendous cost and space reduction with modern components! Each one o those gecko drivers were $200-$250 "Back in the day"
I know! They are great drivers.
LOL. that giant linear power supply. Big ol toroidal transformer. There are two schools of thought on the linear vs switch mode power supplies... I won't start a spitting match over it. And yes I always use wire ferrules. You just have to take the time and make sure they are fastened down well. I have had issues with bare wire connections and very few when using wire ferrules. For low voltage stuff they are fine.
God, the toroidal transformer is HEAVY!! I would use switch mode just for that. By the way, I don't mind the discussion on the supplies as it helps the algorithm. Thanks for the input on the ferrules. Let's keep that discussion going too. Haha.
Oh ha this is mine. Got like 2/3 through the video before I realized.
It's actually not. The components are very similar. You'll see that I say that the customer did not provide the motors, but you did.
Your cabinet will be much nicer too because it will be brand new. The cabinet that I'm showing in the video is the customer's cabinet
Oh derp also I didn’t send you an Ethernet smoovestepper. I’ll get you the machine dimensions this weekend.
