My mom and I used to watch Celtic Woman Christmas special on pbs here in the States. I went to their concert 8 years ago and I cried tears of joy!!!! They are all so beautiful and their voices are incredible!!! I loved Chloes!! ❤️
at 0:28 omg lil chloe!! what an amazing artist shes grown to be!! if i could go back in time when i had my m&gs with her id do it in a heartbeat, it always goes way too fast...anyone else agree that she give really good hugs?!?! its so genuine and not faked ya know... my gosh her sense of humour you could joke with her for hours and cry from laughing afterwards haha!! im 100% a chloelover 4 ever!!
@Anarcho Monarchist Yes!! being big used to mean you were healthy and had the wealth to eat well. It also was seen as youthful and good if you wanted to have children. It wasn't until the clothing industry turned more towards mass production in the early 1900s that it became an issue. Companies were only producing straight sizes in order to save on costs in production. Before that, most people either got their clothing handmade and tailored to them by a professional, they made their own clothing, or they repurposed old clothing and had it fitted to their children. There is a saying, " Your clothing should fit you, but you shouldn't have to fit your clothing". Its literally fabric made to wrap around us, why should we starve ourselves and ruin our health and resort to drastic measures to shove ourselves into smaller clothing because thats all companies want to make? And over the time it just kinda became the norm and beauty standard. Kind of how shaving did. Women never used to shave, but these companies were like " mmm okay how do we make more money? OH! I know!! We tell women body hair is gross and they should shave".
I believe Chloe, Lisa, Meav and Orla, the original lineup of Celtic Woman, were the best female vocal group ever!
