I’m physical education teacher and now i live in the south of Chile, so i have a big reason for using this clothes, extremely confort. I'm down with the esthetic but the mindless accessories like binoculars become too studied. Think: the person who drives a Jeep around the city with a 5 gallon gas can, axe, oversized goddam jack and fucking pop up tent.
Not if you keep using it. Apparently I’ve been gorp core for a long time and the fact a jacket as an example lasts for decades in some cases means one expensive item replaces potentially 5 or more. You’re not likely to find a jacket that’s 1/5 or less the cost of a nice fjällräven or Patagonia
