Honestly this is the first game since the adventure series where I feel like that mix of obstacle based design and like, very small skill checks that let you circumnavigate cuts of the level are working together really well.
Sa2 was linear and boring. This game blows that one outta the water. Shows all that nostalgia crap was bull and that other Sonic games have better lvl design.
This is so fun to watch. I love how this looks like Shadow being incredibly efficient himself by mastering the Doom Skills, rather than looking like being controlled by a player to do glitchy things.
I knew I saw you on the ps5 leaderboards! I actually only managed to get 10 places behind you today, but that rail skip in the canyon is the bane of my existence...
Imagine if this came out in 2011 with sonic generations. Shadow along with us as players would be the first to experience chaos island foreshadowing frontiers in the late future
It’s insane how I just knocked an entire minute off my fastest run and I would still need to shave another entire minute to compete with this one. I only learned about how useful spamming Chaos Spear was yesterday so I should be able to keep shaving time off my runs as I get better at it.
Pov: the one pizza guy when he has one second left to deliver the pizza and he delivers it in 99 milliseconds He don’t need speedruns speedruns need him
Me and my brother are basically having a competition in over this one level. I literally beat his time yesterday and I come back today to find he’s 5 SECONDS SHORTER ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? EDIT: JUST BEAT HIM BY 2 SECONDS TAKE THAT, DREADSLAYERX!!!
if you hold Y while you hit a chaos control capsule, you immediately get it to use chaos control and when it runs out you get a second one. it's a bug, two for the price of one
Yes. It adds a whole new interesting layer of challenge in routing different kinds of runs through levels. A proper speedrun of the full game would use routes independently of chaos control since the speedrun timer wouldn't stop, but individual level speedruns would use chaos control routes to be faster. Isn't it cooler this way?
Shadow would make the best newspaper boy with how frequently he tosses those chaos spears. 😂
Broken windows not withstanding, he'd be the best paperboy.
The Ultimate Paperboy, even
Paperboy X Shadow Generations
Bro would be the best survival hunter.

These times are making it look like we’re playing cyberspace
Funny how the Frontiers stage has the lowest clear time when speedran
This is why I wish there was more levels. Can incorporate relics or medals like in Crash Bandicoot.
Shadow Generations is the Crash Bandicoot of Sonic Games.
Sounds like Shadow x Sonic frontiers & knuckles & knuckles generations
that was probably the craziest run I've ever watched, holy shit. I'm still 28 entire seconds behind this..

What interests me more is that there’s more secrets we never seen in frontiers.
Seeing a boost stage last more than 90 seconds makes me happy
Sonic Unleashed 👀
@FortunAdlaich I am aware of Unleashed
@@notredboiColors isn't a boost game. As the requirements aren't like Unleashed and Generations. See Sonic Rush for example.
@@selassieaspen9940 The requirement for being a boost game is having the boost, that's all

I thought I had a good time with 2:13 😂
Right?! I just hit 2:30 and was feelin myself 😂😂😂😂
All hail this guy!
Can you give an advice how you hit that 1:39 in chaos control ? My chaos spear just stop right befor it hits it
Pov: the one pizza guy when he has one second left to deliver the pizza and he delivers it in 99 milliseconds
He don’t need speedruns speedruns need him
didn't know the pizza guy was Shadow
Love chaos Island
I’ve been watching a few of these and have been wondering why people spam the Chaos Spear
Spamming chaos spear helps preserve shadow’s momentum in the air which lets him jump larger gaps

I just want to know if this is the fully optimized run.
How do you get your fourth chaos control it literally makes no sense
I've analysed that shit frame by frame and it literally just spawns in I don't get it

Pc or xbox
PS5, actually

Am I the only one who thinks using chaos control to stop the timer and get a better time is kinda cheating

It's an intended mechanic so yes
I like it more this way, makes chaos control more useful
now do without chaos control
I just got 1:36 tonight and I see those final tune-ups I need to get sub 1:30. Thank you sir 🫡
