The cards can easily be misplaced, so having it on your website will allow customers who care to have a backup resource. I think the rest of your 📦 is great, so don't listen to the heaters. I think the card with the mug care instructions is super important. I have ADHD and no way in hell will I remember there’s care instructions on the page once I have the package in my hands. The card works wonderfully as a reminder and will ensure you don’t have confused customers damaging their products
The cup care instructions in the box ensure that the person ABSOLUTELY knows how to care for them so they don't come to you when they break them asking to replace it saying they didn't know how to care. Plus it's much easier for a customer to keep a little card than to have to go back to the website for it

The giant companies can afford to actually test new packaging methods, in ways that don't affect customers or reviews, where the small businesses largely test by actually shipping a real order in the new packages because they don't have global offices to ship tests to. If someone is so angry about a single sticker order having that much packaging then they need to not order a single sticker.
People don't realize that PREVENTATIVE action is much less wasteful because if the cup breaks that means its going straight to the landfill. Plus more materials to ship a replacement. The cup care card holds a similar purpose

i love the way you are packaging these. you are genuinely taking good care and precaution of customer orders. the one thing i did disagree with was getting rid of the cup care instructions. if you are oblivious (such as myself), you arent going to read the instructions on the website. having a physical things to look at (i imagine its easier for people who have ADHD as well) is significantly easier to hold onto and keep track of. but, in the end, it is your store. you taking these precautions says a lot about your character :)

I like the printed cup care instructions, especially for giftgiving. And I love that everything is Eco friendly!

I totally support the minimizing of packaging. I think you're doing some good things (like recyclable paper to wrap/cushion.) But I would like to see no plastic for the stickers, I think you could put them either in a small paper envelope that could be recycled and would eventually break down, or even put them INSIDE the cup, if they fit. Or just flat on box bottom, beneath the cup. Stickers would most likely arrive fine. To many of us, minimalist packaging is VERY important. It's something that really matters to me and I make note of who makes an effort. What if you used custom paper mailers, instead of poly, for items that don't require water proof? Even Amzn does that. Anyhow I appreciate that you responded to these concerns. Btw those stickers are adorbs.

Can confirm, I worked for a certain "express" shipper...your packaging is what I would consider minimum necessary. Packages go thru alot of potentially damaging situations while travelling. Also, delivery persons have been known to toss packages, with no thought that it's raining/snowing or may land too hard.
Why do people complain about these things and as someone who doesn't really read descriptions I think it's GREAT that you put the information in the box as well. To be perfectly honest, the description of the product is the last place I'd look for that information. It's incredible helpful to have it there right in your face.

As a delivery driver I appreciate the packaging, it's not extra. Most of the time sorting is done via automatic conveyer belts with the bigger delivery companys. And if the item isn't packaged as shown and unfortunately falls off the belt (which can happen if the item is caught in the sort belt), the item is still safe. Also, when transporting to a main hub for sorting for local delivery, the packages can shift in the truck and unintentionally become damaged. Thumbs up for packaging correctly and the care you put in to it. 😁👍
As an Etsy seller, it’s amazing how many people don’t read any part of the item description or don’t realize there is one. I did switch from poly bags to waxed paper bags for my packing material to cut down on plastic and comply with some of the stricter import regulations for certain countries.
Keep packaging the same way you are. The people complaining about the packaging will be the first ones to scream if anything is damaged in shipping. You have to protect your product.

I feel like people are always TRYING to find a problem with anything and everything!!!! I mean look at this, here is a girl who is making sure that the products that she is selling to people… That people are paying good money for… Are wrapped up in the box as to not get damage, and then put into a bag because if the boxes are left out in the rain The box will become a mess. I think that she should get extra kudos for taking such good care of her customers!! I mean, even the freaking stickers she sends are in their own little baggie with a little piece of cardboard so that they don’t bend. I mean I have gotten packages from all over the place and sometimes things are just thrown in a box and shipped off and it looks like they were just thrown in there. Other times I will order something that’s small and have it in a box that could fit a basketball hoop in it …. I mean there are a lot of things that people can actually complain about and get an upset about… This is not one of them.

Omg. My mom has recently (last couple months) gotten into designing and selling stickers. She designs them, then orders them from places that make stickers, they send them back to my mom, then she sends them out to her customers. My mom, whose main thing isn't stickers, packages hers better than the people who actually make them and that's the only thing they sell. You also package all of your products so well, I would never have to worry about anything being damaged!

I work as a mechanic in the post office I’ve seen the damage our machines can do it’s wonderful to see people taking time to pack things properly
True. If it's raining and the boxes are out, they're soaked but the ones in the plastic bag are never soaked thru.

Agreed. I constantly forget which of my dishes are microwave or dishwasher safe. I check the bottom for instruction nearly every time I do dishes.

Can confirm, I worked for a certain "express" shipper...your packaging is what I would consider minimum necessary. Packages go thru alot of potentially damaging situations while travelling. Also, delivery persons have been known to toss packages, with no thought that it's raining/snowing or may land too hard.
Why do people complain about these things and as someone who doesn't really read descriptions I think it's GREAT that you put the information in the box as well. To be perfectly honest, the description of the product is the last place I'd look for that information. It's incredible helpful to have it there right in your face.

As a delivery driver I appreciate the packaging, it's not extra. Most of the time sorting is done via automatic conveyer belts with the bigger delivery companys. And if the item isn't packaged as shown and unfortunately falls off the belt (which can happen if the item is caught in the sort belt), the item is still safe.
Also, when transporting to a main hub for sorting for local delivery, the packages can shift in the truck and unintentionally become damaged.

As an Etsy seller, it’s amazing how many people don’t read any part of the item description or don’t realize there is one. I did switch from poly bags to waxed paper bags for my packing material to cut down on plastic and comply with some of the stricter import regulations for certain countries.

Keep packaging the same way you are. The people complaining about the packaging will be the first ones to scream if anything is damaged in shipping. You have to protect your product.

Why are people so dam dramatic! They don't have to be so involved in your business and much less in how you choose to package your merchandise. I feel like people are always TRYING to find a problem with anything and everything!!!! I mean look at this, here is a girl who is making sure that the products that she is selling to people… That people are paying good money for… Are wrapped up in the box as to not get damage, and then put into a bag because if the boxes are left out in the rain The box will become a mess. I think that she should get extra kudos for taking such good care of her customers!! I mean, even the freaking stickers she sends are in their own little baggie with a little piece of cardboard so that they don’t bend. I mean I have gotten packages from all over the place and sometimes things are just thrown in a box and shipped off and it looks like they were just thrown in there. Other times I will order something that’s small and have it in a box that could fit a basketball hoop in it …. I mean there are a lot of things that people can actually complain about and get an upset about… This is not one of them.
They shouldn’t complain tbh I would love to buy your product just to open it and experience how perfectly it’s packaged and how good the products are

Omg. My mom has recently (last couple months) gotten into designing and selling stickers. She designs them, then orders them from places that make stickers, they send them back to my mom, then she sends them out to her customers. My mom, whose main thing isn't stickers, packages hers better than the people who actually make them and that's the only thing they sell. You also package all of your products so well, I would never have to worry about anything being damaged!

I don’t think that the comment was to bash on the product or the way the you package it I just think it was highlighting the pack that we all need to do our part to take steps in reducing our waste. Even just little things like what you said at the end about not writing out the care instructions and just having them in the description goes a long way.

Honestly it made me really happy to see you were using that paper instead of bubble wrap. Its a far better alternative as it is also biodegradable unlike plastic wrap!
You are packaging your products in the way that you need to do that. It is your business practice it is a good business practice. Just because someone complains does not mean that you have to change what you do to please them. That is true in business as well as life. Keep doing your job your way you're doing great some people are just never satisfied with anything. Those kinds of people feel they can complain and make you change just because they're them. Don't! Also you do not owe anyone and explanation for what you do ever. Keep going you got this you're great.
You know your business. You tried every thing. I say you are doing good. I like that you are using extra. Plus I resume any materials I get and it haves me money. In some place it does rain all theme. I think you thought about this packing very well. Thank you for being thoughtful. On the instruction both ways work. Who is going to recall the instruction when the package arrives. For me I am not going to remember specifically when I have 50 other things I have to remember. I love reminders.
