I have done all of these things since I was a child. Mainly because my family was too poor to buy things. I continued on into adulthood making these things as gifts. Everyone always telling me I should sell them. Making things is easy. Marketing them is hard. Especially in small areas where there is an overabundance of others who are making the same thing. My only advice is focus on marketing and making connections with people who own businesses that can carry your product on consignment.
I love this, maybe I'll try expanding my business by giving this a try. Selling on Etsy and Shopify, best decision I've made this year so far. Thankful I consulted a specialist in this field, I'll ask her if creating an store for soap will make me more money. Thank you so much for this enlightenment

Definitely. Give it a shot, the most important thing isn’t necessarily your product but how you market it. It should have significant value still. Tiktok is an amazing platform to use for free advertising but views don’t equate to sales so you really have to have a solid strategy to sell your product. I can’t say which platform is the best but people always reference Ebay together with Etsy & Shopify. Etsy is a great platform for selling handmade crafts so look it up and see if it could work for you.
