I'll respond to this as myself, the social media guy for Long & McQuade. Not as the "universal voice" of the Long & McQuade brand. I've been a drummer for about 25 years, with about 15 years playing my Eliminator pedals. I'd disagree that the different cams on the original Eliminator pedals are silly marketing hype. In fact, I believe it's one of the few recent innovations and features on a bass drum pedal that actually make a huge difference in the feel of a pedal, aside from features like your basic spring tension. I could see how interchangeable cams might be a bit silly for some, as usually a drummer would pick one cam and leave it. And that's exactly what I did. Within the first couple of weeks of getting my Eliminators, I swapped the cams out between the black, white, red and blue, and eventually landed on the red cam as my go-to for heavy-hitting rock music. The acceleration and power was what I needed for that type of music. So if for whatever reason I needed to replace my primary Eliminator pedals, I know that red is my personal go-to and wouldn't need the interchangeable cams feature, I'd just go with the new Eliminator Solo with the built-in red cam.
Great stuff from Pearl and nice video from Long and Mcquade. Again the mouth breathers hanging out getting in the way are annoying. Glad the Pearl guy got them to move.
I had a pearl Masters.... originally i play Yamaha drums Pearl is a great drum kit except for the tom mounts i think it's time Pearl came up with something different ..
+NowI'mMe It's an incredibly tough gig, with long hours, lots of meetings, lots of travel, sleep deprivation, avoiding illness..... all to bring everyone this content that they wouldn't have an opportunity to see for themselves. And Kevin rocked it, as usual. Thanks Kevin!
The best drum maker in the world. Pearl, the best reason to play drums. Thanks Pearl.
I once had an MMX series. Wonderful drums! Big fan of Pearl, I gotta say! 👍
Nice
Different bass drum pedal cams...biggest and silliest marketing hype. But the single-braced hardware?! Yay! Way to go, Pearl!
