Thank you for showcasing the games, I saw another video earlier and he just unboxed and smiled-- hard to take a recommendation seriously when that's it.
it makes me happy that people are still keeping legacy consoles like NES and Gameboy alive by releasing physical carts!
I can't stand digital download only! Absolutely won't do it!
Thank you for showing actual gameplay.
Some people were just like, look at this cool stuff they sent me for free !!
Están las demos gratis en itchio! Yo las he jugado para no quedarme solo con los videos
Dear god this looks like everything I love in a game. I will HAPPILY purchase this.❤❤❤
Ah yes, back when wearing sunglasses at night was cool.
There’s just something about pixelated games that still makes them not only beautiful but futuristic somehow as well. Maybe it’s because of the effort and the quality they put into those games.
One thing that slightly annoys me about all these new games for older systems, is that UA-camrs and retro gaming sites only seem to cover these games when they’re announced. They very often don’t come back to them when they’re actually finished and released.
I see you can microwave the hamster in this one 😂 couldn't resist, could you
I use to love MM on the NES & was able to beat the game back then.
You make me buy too damn much stuff
This looks really fun!
Hell yeah! love point and click adventures.
Graphics look good, always nice to see new homebrews, although I remain skeptical about most of them. The few NES homebrews I've bought have just had a really clunky gameplay experience. I'm not sure how I feel about them releasing the same game on multiple hardware platforms with multiple versions. Would rather they just pick one and polish it really well. But maybe they were able to polish all of them.
Hope you'll be reviewing the Neo Geo AES/MVS Vengeance Hunters home brew in the future. That one seems to have a lot of positive reviews.
Thanks for info, backing this game.
Mouse in the microwave, I see what they did there 😂 iykyk
I sometimes wonder what the world would be like if Nintendo launched the Nintendo Power in America or Europe instead of keeping it only in Japan.
I've backed the Switch version but may add the SNES version on in the pledge manager if I'm feeling flush.
How original.
I gave them $21 for digital. I am not paying $115 for a physical copy.
Looks great, but pointing and clicking without a mouse... not for me
am i mistaken or is this a new game for outdated consoles? if i still had my NES(stolen after a house fire in 96), it would likely not still function, my gameboy, gameboy pocket, and gba are all no longer functioning, not sure how many still have working consoles from that long ago
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Retro Games !
👍👍™️
That's GBC, not GB. If it was GB, it would just be black and white.
Looks amazing. But I'm disappointed. I mean - great work, but already another Maniac Mansion clone. We also have The Castle. Why not try to develop your own non-clone story? Or at least clone something which was not cloned before. There is Space Quest, Zak McKraken, Sam and Max, Indiana Jones - not that you don't have a choice what to clone.
Most important comment so far! In many recent homebrew games, it's all about selling the artist's pixel art. Unfortunately, lazy clones with fresh pixel art often succeed more than games with original ideas but less refined pixel art or style.
@@brat1hahn Thank you! I am coming from the era long before Windows was widespread. So I've played many DOS games in the 90s. Still - I seriously appreciate the old Atari arcades from the 80s. All 80s and 90s games had no hardware to shine on, so the devs had to come up with other ideas, like gameplay, story and so on. I am a dev too, just not a game dev. This is why i was in awe when i first saw the first Pokemon game - Pokemon Red Version, because in the era of Pentiums and bright color displays it was running on an Apple2-like cpu and tamagotchi-like screen and still - design, gameplay and story-wise it was a piece of art. But problem is since Doom, everybody care of nothing but the graphics. This is not always problem of the devs lacking ideas, this is also problem of most players looking for nothing but better graphics and more action gameplay. For these reasons, the point-and-click adventure games, so popular in the 90s are no longer popular. We are a small breed of players appreciating such things. Maniac Mansion was also a piece of art in the way it ran on 320x200 pixels and offered a not so linear gameplay because you could beat the game with different combination of characters. Still - I would appreciate a good point-and-click adventure if it's totally linear, if at least it offers a good story, even if graphics are not so good. Machinarium is a wonderful example of a point-and-click adv. with an amazing story (but also great graphics). Despite being a Lucasfilm games fan, I always admire Space Quest 1-2-3 which are truly great. And of course I admire what Revolution Software created. So it's not like you can't copy other ideas - there are plenty. Why clone something which was also recently cloned?
I can't get over that spelling of "trayler".
Game looks dumb just like maniac mansion was lol
