How are you liking the dark background? Did you avoid using dark aquasoil to lighten the look of the scape--is that why you chose light sand and epiphytes?
I think I tend to prefer the led backgrounds I have on my other tanks but black is still really nice for plant contrast. Only way UNS could do better is a built in atmos to the AIO system

Same media as a canister just different chamber arrangement. Left side is sponge. Middle is bio media and purigen for me. Right side could be chemical but I simply have a heater in that chamber
Are you going to inject co2 in here? Could you talk about how co2 injection is trickier with tanks like these? I hear that its hard to get consistent levels in your tank
It’s a river like environment with a blank slate type of space. I think it’s big enough to be anything you want to make of it. A open range if you will.
This helped so much! I have this tank a dcwasnt sure exactly all the insane outs about the filtration system . I use seachem matrix and purigen on top. I was wondering if I could install a heater in the back and now I feel safe doing that .

Absolutely! But injection is no more difficult on this tank than any other

Happy to say it's completely silent. Even if you took the filter lid off there's no noise from the pump
