Funny how the bad guys always team up with the folks who keep betraying them, yet refuse to stay friends with the folks who don't.

im more surprise the aliens keep coming back after the many times there U.F.O`s keep blowing up and plans failing

Metal Slug 3 is definitely my favorite of the entire series.

For me, metal slug 6 is the best one yet (because new characters, sound effect, enemy, soundtrack and also secret path and it's really good)
I even crying when i see metal slug 6 remind me back to 2018 when thats the first time i played metal slug 6,and now i already have it.
I understand the amount of Deaths in this playthrough-- since the game does have issues with it's balancing. The Venusians here are waaay too tanky for the game to just spam them all over the place especially the final mission. Meat shields protecting meatier shields, the game just drags into a grueling halt every now and then. What worse is the many different ways they can just kill you, each attack is learn-able, but when faced in large quantities and the lack of screen estate to isolate threats- it's more-or-less a guaranteed death. It's not impossible to perfect-run this game, it's just that a)it takes too long, b)the amount of practice is staggering.
I want to like this game really, but it tries too hard to be Metal Slug 3(5 stages, the final stage being the length of the previous 4 stages). And it ends up crapping the bed horribly.

I think Metal Slug 3 is the hardest game in the series, but it's still consistent and doable if played it an unhealthy amount of times, unlike 6 where the difficulty is all over the place and the later half enemies are tedious bullet sponges

@@dracmeister @dracmeister Just enjoy the game, if you can't handle it, play Candy Crush or something you can handle. The point of a game is not to do it perfectly, it's just to have fun and that's it. If you always have to win in a game to have fun, maybe you should consider your ideas. Personally, I've never cared how many times I've died in a game, I'd just try it again, have a good time until I finished it and that's it.

meu pai acabei de lembrar de quando eu jogava uma coletânea desses jogos no PS2 do meu amigo, a gente jogava junto e eu era mt ruim, mas era muito divertido, a gente passava a tarde toda descendo tiro em alien com um controle de fio zoado numa tvzinha de tubo (que mais parecia um monitor de pc antigo), a gente sempre tentava soltar os prisioneiros antes de passar a fase mas eu era meio idiota e passava sem querer aí ele ficava pra trás e a fase acabava antes dele passar e pegava menos pontos... não q mudasse muito pq eu sempre pegava menos pontos pq morria direto... de toda forma, eu pegava as arma mais foda na cagada pq era descuidado

Without a doubt this is the best PlayStation 2 game, it marked and will always mark the PS2 era
My poor heart. I love metal slug series and I can say... I prefer to stick to old metal slugs. Like... those sound effects, and these bosses, and backgrounds(on one hand it looks nice, but on the other hand it feels a little weird. You know. Different style and so on). He played on hard difficulty, and he destroyed bosses so easily(maybe he is just good, but from my point of view it just looked easy). In metal slug 3 during fight with the robot boss in the factory it was so hard to destroy all mini rockets just with pistol, and here, he could defeat the second boss just by using pistol. Anyway, nice playing and sorry for so long comment, kind of about nothing, I just wanted to say(write?) that.
+Kuraiomo The bosses of this aren't easy, the robot brain boss, the worm boss, and the last boss are hell on wheels. As per usual with Metal Slug, the game was a coin muncher, and 1 credit clears were generally hard to accomplish without the proper practice. Music isn't too bad, felt like a step in the right direction for Metal Slug, and this was the first one not on Neo Geo hardware, but on the Atomiswave hardware. You should try to play it yourself to see for yourself how you'll do at it, me I'm awful at it.
+Kuraiomo The robot boss in the factory is the easiest boss in Metal Slug 3 if you use correctly the invincibility frame of the Level Armor. The first boss is very very easy too.
And he isn't play on the hardest difficulty in this video.
+Ego Yeah. In general, the robot is not so hard, but I wrote that destroying his rockets with pistol was pretty hard(If you play on high difficulty level, of course)
Nope. I have problems killing U25Us and getting in the slug mariners.
Because.... I destroyed the slug mariners.
And also rootmars is too badass.
I don’t find this installment in the franchise to be particularly bad, though adding some shade effects and smoothing sprites doesn’t make the graphics any different from its predecessors. New voice “acting” is welcome, along with the dual-weapon feature & point multiplier! An alright game, isn’t terrible at all.

Those soldiers that jump at you with their daggers near the end part of level 2 are a real pain in the arse!

Really? I have the "Metal Slug Complete PC", it doesn't have such option.
I know this is 3 years late but I didn’t know it was the games low brightness doing that, I thought my phone was malfunctioning 😂

Hello
Never a fan of the static, pre-rendered backgrounds they used in the later games. Especially since they used the same character, enemy and vehicle models since the original, it doesn’t fit well together. For example 13:05, it the prior games, all those buildings in the background would have been made from sprites, and you would be able to blow them up with beautiful explosion animations. Devs got lazy .
I love this final boss, always make me chill

@@thawngmeryveithas8157 Depends on whether you are playing the PSP or XBOX live port.
PSP port will be having this sound effect (But has Leona's original KOF scream when she dies).
XBOX live port will be having the old sound effects (But Leona's scream is just not so appealing).
Not sure abt the PS4 one though.

I was 9 year old when this game was released and i have it in my memory watching those guys playing at the arcade...
I could never play cos my parents were so fckin strict and didn't give me a penny for anything.
FF now I am playing this on my Android device and it's awesome 😎👍
Metal Slug imo is one of the best games ever released. The attention to detail for the time is simply amazing. The graphics are great and so are the characters.
They don't make games like this anymore cos it's painstaking to design and draw such stages as this game.

Who else played all metal slug and never played this one
Only played this one once on the metal slug anthology collection sadly the Nintendo online store does not have this one available in a digital downloable form so I can’t play it on my switch but you can buy metal slug 1 2 metal slug x 3 4 and 5. I’ve bought all of them so far except metal slug 1 and x x I played it’s on the anthology collection metal slug it’s a re release of two but the added in a couple of new things they added in the mummy dog and a new gun. it’s not worth paying 8.65$ for in my opinion buy itself when getting the original metal slug which will not be for several days and the others combined will have cost me 43.25$ in American dollars.
