Hey.. I’m trying to find all the links .. I love whats you say! Great lesson!
Hi there, Adriana! :) Below my video you'll see a short description of what it's all about. Then you should see the words 'show more'. Just click on that and it will expand the description bar; you'll find all of my links there.
Great advice! What company do you use to print your art on objects like phone cases, pillows, mugs Etc...?
I have a video specifically regarding your question, Tracy! You can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/5Ih7sT89Mak/v-deo.html
HI Ellen, I love your artwork and love how informative and open your videos are. I'm curious as to what your opinion is on using dye based inks as opposed to more archival pigment inks, do your customers ever ask this type of question? xx
Hi, Sheila :) I use dye based inks because that is what my professional grade printer takes, and I only use the inks that come from the manufacturer.
Even though pigment inks are known to last longer than dye based, I use an archival paper which helps to offset that. Also, my inks have a lifespan of 40-50 years if kept under glass and away from sunlight which is what is recommended regardless, and that is an acceptable lifespan for my customers.
...and no, none of my customers have ever asked me about this subject. I hope this helps! xo
@@EllenBrennemanStudio Thank you so much for answering my question, I really appreciate it as I realise how busy you are x I'm still only thinking about doing art as a business and your videos have been a fantastic help. You're a diamond :) xx
Hi Ellen! Thank you so much for this video! This info is priceless :-) I've been thinking about printing my own prints and I swear I was going to DM you to ask you what you do for your prints! One question.. what do you think about limited edition prints? I'm on the fence about whether I want to offer them or not. Thanks again! xxoo
Sweet Molly, thank you for your comment! Always lovely to hear from you ❤️🥰 So, with LE prints, my personal experience has not been favorable of them. But I also don't feel as though they fit into my business model. By offering them, I'm essentially limiting myself opportunities for my work to reach more people and for me, that means missing out on potential income, exposure, etc. Not to mention, I've tried offering them in the past and they never sold any faster than my open edition prints, nor did I make more money by offering them.
@@EllenBrennemanStudio Thanks so much for the reply Ellen! The UA-cam bot must have read my comment because right after this video your video about LE prints from years ago popped up! I watched it and it was great!🙏
Can you please tell me again the name of the app for my cell phone to take photos of my artwork.
Hi Ellen, When you put artwork in a shop, do you have a written agreement with them regarding what percentage of your sale they take, and how and when they pay you? Thanks, Lesley Paul
Hello! It's always a good idea to get a written agreement, otherwise you might be waiting a long while for payments. An organized shop owner will offer you one; if not, you should definitely request one for your own protection.
Being called a witch or pagan is not a bad thing.
Some of the kindest people I know are practicing, and I wholeheartedly agree :)
