I took this survey when I was in grad school my result was the ISTJ and I think those savings challenges work well for me! Definitely interesting to know there are different challenges for different personality types.
I've saved just over $6,000 this year so far. I've use the same income numbers for almost 10 years. Extra from pay increases over the years I put toward savings/sinking funds. I've also become addicted to saving and have a rule that I have to wait 30 days to make extra purchases and usually end up not needing whatever I thought I couldn't live without.
Few years back I saved the most money I ever saved. I opened a bank account at a walmart bank , savings account only. I would do all my shopping there and only during bank hours. Every time I would check out I would deposit the amount on the receipt to my savings. If for whatever reason I was low on money I would think really hard about what I bought because I knew I have to deposit the same in to the bank. After about a month I was very frugal with buying wants. So I also started doing the "zero out challenge" what ever money I had the day b4 payday I would fill up my tank and then deposit all but $20.00 dollars in to my savings.
This video is so well thought out. My mom loves monopoly but I think a Yahtzee version would be cool too. Edit to say I actually really appreciate how long the video is. You are very thorough. It’s a blessing. Not an annoyance. Your information sharing style made me subscribe.
Hey Ro!!! Love all of these savings challenges ideas!!! Love the zero out challenge and the $1 & $5 challenge!! They really do add up quickly! The 100 envelope challenge is one of my faves!!!!
Wow,young lady you are such a pleasure to watch and learn from. I just love your personality. I am on my financial journey now for about a month going strong! Almost debt free under $3k -debt free in 2023
I have like 3 favorite challenges. Apinkecloth, Rochelle Adamson Budgets (yours) , Monte Budgets, I have learned so much from these channels. I don’t have a channel & don’t want one lol great video as always
Thank you for this video!! You have re-ignited my budget and debt free journey after taking a break from it! Feeling inspired and motivated again, so THANK YOU!!!!!
These challenges are priceless! It'll be so hard to pair it down to just a few. This "Wise Analyst" has to give the tip of the day award to Micah's handyman savings. Add in the "housekeeper" duties and pile up the dough!!!!! Love ya Ro ❤

I love this! After doing the 100 envelope challenge I learned that long term savings challenges are not it for me lol and had to tell myself that it was okay! ☺❤🌸
Thank you for these great ideas, I made up my own 52 week challenge which is coins and dollar bills in one container and I will count it up at the end of my 52 weeks which is in July of 2023. It is adding up fast.
This is one of the best budget information videos that I have seen since I started on my budget journey!!! ❤🎉❤ Knowing what type of budgeter I am and which saving challenges for my personality. I’m so thankful that you shared this information ℹ️. I’m excited 😊 again for my budget journey. ❤🎉😂
Thank you for this. I am new to your channel and I am subscribing now. I recently returned to work since a few years with a lot of medical issues. So I'm behind the eight ball in a lot of ways financially, but I am determined to start saving from the very beginning. We can rise above any challenge and still make great things happen🙏

Good Morning. I am a new follower of your channel. I am loving your energy, great channel. I will be sticking around. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air, you rock!
The spend a little to make the saving money easier to track, more fun, etc is in reality not going to keep ppl from saving any real amount & actually I bet keeps ppl saving more... (some ppl🙄), honestly If buying that $5 or less savings challenge is what makes it so you can’t save anything, then there are bigger issues. Woot woot 🙌 to this video🔥. ❤️🖤 Maybe I am a steward/analytical mix🤔 Loved the screen in screen & seeing the lil’ Ro & her “lifing” tee, 😻 I like the zero out challenge because it makes the math easier if nothing else but it really does add up. I think I watch you the most regular👍
Soo helpful! I'm a bold explorer for sure. All of my current challenges (except the 100 envelope challenge) already fit into that category, and I'm having so much fun with them.
Hey Ro. I know I'm going to love this video. I would say to automate those savings. I recently started adding more to my investment account with fidelity by just having that money to go to that account automatically and I just work with what I have left. I don't keep up with my zero out challenge .
That's kinda what I did the last couple weeks. I budget $75 per week for groceries and wound up spending $96. Got paid 3 days later and kept an extra $100 as buffer in the bank. My boyfriend wanted a pair of work boots in Academy and I told them I'll get them but his savings envelope will get emptied. He had $40 in the envelope and I contributed $20 and moved it to the savings challenge envelope. 😊
Hi Rochelle, I hope you’re doing great. I’ve tried many Saving techniques, and the one that works for me is The Saving Ben Cans. I am very impressed at the end of the year. Smooches😘
You are amazing I have been watching you for over a year have watched you pay off you mortgage and love your vibe you being so much fight to budgeting and make me want to try so much harder love your videos thanks for all you help love Tam
I am starting again next year. I am creating a budget book. I am reviewing my expenses for the last year. I’m going Kakeibo style of savings. I am leaning towards the Weather Wednesday challenge or the 52 envelopes.
I started doing a few mini challenges which would save me anywhere from $75-$750 and once I complete them I'll transfer the money to some of my savings categories that I wanna save for. But some people have asked me why do I even bother with the mini challenges rather than just straight out putting the money into my category envelopes to begin with. Its hard to make them understand why lol
Hey I love your video, It took me all yr lol but Ive finally figured out that if I dont put money away in a savings challenge I cant seem to save it lol so instead of just putting a chunk of money away Ive divide it up into savings challenges that way I should be able to save something, at the start of the yr I worked out that I would have $5000 saved up by now and I have just under $400 but I decided this yr was just a learning yr for me because Ive never tried to save before, videos like yours help a lot, thank you, lots of love from New Zealand 😀
I just hit 5k saved. Big milestone. But I'm nowhere near done!! I need a car (my first at 29 lol) and I want to save 10k outside of that. Splitting my direct deposit and autosaving every pay was life changing
Hi there! Soooo much good info!! Thank you! I’m just dropping in to tell you I enjoy your videos so much girl! Missed your face!!!! Hey friend ❣️ Love your hair 😍 you always manage to motivate me to save more 😉. Setting goals is crucial when it comes to saving 👍
Hi Rochelle🙋♀️What about turning health into wealth by creating a saving challenge around weight loss. Determine a goal weight and how long it will take. Determine each week or month how much to get paid for meeting that goal. #Challengeafriend to make it more interesting. By the way this video shares some interesting ideas for savings challenges. Love your contents because you have great ideas❤️❤️
First video I've seen of yours but I watched the whole thing. Definitely keeping it interesting! I'm thinking I'm going to attempt the 100 envelope challenge starting next year - we really want to save up a down payment for a house. I'm low income, but in July I managed to save almost $300 to our emergency fund because I put everything except bills and some spending money for me and my kids into that savings. Trying to pump it up before my maternity leave starts in November! I guess it's sort of a no spend. I'm thinking I might do it again in September when I have 5 pays lol
Thank you for your video. I really love that you gave all those great tips. I recently got the saveopoly, can’t wait to start using it. I really want to track my progress in becoming debt free. Your video was very helpful. 😊
Great video and very informative. I have a lot of ideas for next year's saving challenges 🤔. I have the time think of them now because before I know it I will be doing them.
I just started for the first time the 100 envelope challenge this month. I'm currently not working. So I am funding this with my redeemed change Plus any savings from food money utilizing rebates & coupons. For me I decided that the timeline is not as important as finishing the challenge. So if it takes me 1 1/2 years to finish it then it takes me that long. (But I think I can compete by Dec. 2023) I think for me the pressure of having it within a time frame when I'm not working just doesn't make sense.
Just found your channel, lots of great info! I was feeling down because I have a lot of changes going on that is effecting my future security financially. I'm going to try to get back on track with some of these savings tips. Thanks.
Love this video. Thanks for the ideas! I'm starting now, mid-August. We have set three savings goals for our household: a trip we are taking in 8 months, building our expense categories from three months worth (now) to six months worth, and building up our emergency fund (from $1500 to $15,000). As our children move out over the next 5 years, we will start paying down our mortgage, but for now that's not a huge priority. I'm looking for ways I can keep myself motivated to find or create that extra in our budget. Sometimes it feels so very difficult. I'm going to start by selling a few things online and doing a spending freeze/pantry challenge this week. 🤞 I can do this!
My Meyers-Briggs is an INFJ...and these suggested savings challenges for the Wealth Builders would work well with me. I can see myself completing them because I have in the past. The Money Throwdown Challenge is a sure win for me because I love competing for the win...lol. But I am definitely a hint of Dedicated Stewards.
I just finished a savings challenge. I cheated because I traded money with the bank but it worked. I wanted a $500 petty cash drawer so I could make change for myself. I did $10s and under. Now that I have that I’m going to split the remaining petty cash into various different sinking funds.
I thought the spending money was kinda silly too but I went on pinterest and found a bunch of free savings challenge printables that I use. Also wen I couldn't print them off I literally just had a pen and paper.
I save my change in a counting bank, it is easy and painless but sure mounts up. I had started a 50 envelope challenge but was at the point that having the funds for it wasn't working so rather than putting a specific dollar amount in each envelope, I put in what I can afford - will I have $500 at the end? Maybe or maybe not - it will be a surprise and I look forward to that unstuffing. I do a $10 Friday - once a week I set aside $10. The biggie is I do what I can afford, if I can't afford it, I give myself permission to skip what I can not do..
Ok. Not trying to be mean or rude or anything like that. But my honesty opinion about that whole test doesn't make sense to me at all. I kind of, mostly fall in the line with all of those. So i am a little bit confused with that but i mean hey, if it works for you by taking that then you go for it. You do what is best for you. No shame or judgment coming from me here. I just simply don't understand how that all works out. I have been doing saving challenges all of my life and just simply putting money off to the side. I was never really a big shopper or spending money at all. So i never really had a lot of problems with saving money or putting money to the side and leaving it alone until i actually needed it. Also growing up, i was very very responsible with money and doing good things with money.
Love your channel! I also love @TaraBudgets, @JordanBudgets, and @TaylorBudgets! I am currently doing an Emergency Fund Challenged, Tara's 2022 Box Challenge, and about to start a 52 Week Challenge! I also Taylor's 20 22's challenge earlier this year. I try to always have a short term, mid term and long term challenge going on. I have stopped and cashed out challenges that weren't working for me. I usually end up throwing that extra money toward debt!
Can you link your phone stand? Thank you for sharing! I’ve been using Cash Envelopes and Sinking Funds for about a year now and it’s been amazing! Love watching! I’m gonna go find you on TikTok ❤️

@@RochelleAdamson thanks.

🥰🥰🥰
I had a friend that would just throw their change on the ground like bitch I’ll take that
Seriously!!
Sometimes it's hard to stay motivated when you only get paid once a month. Seems like FOREVER between paychecks. lol
I know the feeling 😩
Have you been told you speak so fast.
Yup!
That’s the best way to save! 🙌🏾
Can you link your phone stand? Thank you for sharing! I’ve been using Cash Envelopes and Sinking Funds for about a year now and it’s been amazing! Love watching! I’m gonna go find you on TikTok ❤️
Hey Candice! Link “everything in my videos” in bio!
Great content, thank you 😊 Very inspiring for 2023💰💶🪙
My pleasure!!
