good summary. one thing I think would be useful to bring into this discussion too though is how to work with auto-layout as it relates to groups and frames.
Hello again @Ken Snyder. I tried to answer your question in my latest #FigmaFriday video about Auto Layout. View it at ua-cam.com/video/qZvdNUiSbmE/v-deo.html. I hope that helps.
Thanks for this. In summary, think of frames sort of as a new work environment inside your workspace, where you can create layouts for a part of your design. Whereas see groups as a quick shortcut for holding together a group or collection of objects or elements for a decluttered view and easier management, or so you can easily select them together with one click, or when you want to rescale them without any layout constraints applied to the object.
Hey @naerial, great question! Groups are basically just a shortcut for quickly selecting multiple elements, in a way that's simpler than frames. I personally use groups about 10% of the time when working in Figma. One of my most common use cases is holding multiple shapes together to create an icon.

Thank you for the request Ken! I will give that some thought. 👍

Quick and clear. Thanks !
Frame is a kind of container and it likes a div in the code.
Thanks for this.

Great quick explanation! nice that you didn't talk about a bunch of other stuff.
Thanks!
thank you so much
long time no see,,idol
What are some use cases for both? Especially groups? With Frames around, I don't see a reason for me to ever use Groups anymore...

@@VisualSpicer creating an icon by group is an only way to be used in my works
nice sir
@Visual Spicer is it ok to use frames inside another frame?
Yes, of course. You can nest as many frames as you'd like. 👍
@@VisualSpicer thanks
Thx sir.. now it's clear for me.. wkwkwkwk
