    you're a great reviewer! I was comparing cosclay to super sculpey because I wanted to make a small art doll for my cousins birthday, I couldn't decide between the two but this video helped me chose

    That coil looked like an old fashioned telephone cord! I'd like to try the cosclay one day but you can get the regular polymer clay more durable by baking it longer. I have a Fimo bracelet I've used almost daily for the last year and it's still as good as new. I baked it for a lot longer than the recomended 15 minutes (more like 2 hours and then let it cool in the owen) to let the polymerisation be as thorough as possible.

      I usually bake my items for an hour minimum. I usually don’t have issues with things breaking too much unless they fall or get banged around. I’ll play around with some more and try some new things with my baking. My biggest issues have been hair pieces on chibi characters. Those usually tend to break off the easiest no mater how careful I am.

      @@trenonights6635 The few chibis I've made are still in one piece as I tend to make them and then have them on display where no one can make them fall! I want to make more but I have too many ideas and too little time to make them...

    I was working with cosclay today and it was extremely soft, impossible to do something proper with it. I even leeched it twice. I bought it few months back so I thought it would be crumbly... 😮‍💨

      You’re too kind, thank you!!
      I used Fimo sometimes as well. There is more of a difference between Cosclay/Fimo than there is Cosclay/Premo. It’s really fun to work with. In my opinion the texture/stickiness of the clay gets easier to work with the more you use it.
      Happy claying!!!!

    Not sure how long you baked your Premo clay but, if you bake for 1 hour instead of recommended time, it is much more durable. As long as the temperature is not too high, there is no burning even at that length of time.

    • @trenonights6635
      @trenonights6635  4 роки тому

      I think I baked this set for about 30-40 minutes. Typically I’ll bake Premo for about an hour, and I do have good luck with thinner pieces being more durable. This piece was a bit too thick and didn’t maintain the flexibility that I’ve see it have while thinner. At least in my experience.

    it's not ur hands, i too feel the sticky when well conditioned, one can remedy with a bit of Talc if you working on tiny parts, but i had Cos Clay sit now for 3+ years and still good ass the day i bought it why i like it so much...

  • @clayday1489

    I have recently purchased CosClay Warm Beige, but honestly I am a bit disappointed. It looks like they changed the formula or something because it is too soft and sticky I am usually use Sculpey Super Living Doll, Fimo Soft and Fimo Professional. In comparison to those brands CosClay is stickier and holds the small details a bit worse.

    • @trenonights6635
      @trenonights6635  4 роки тому +1

      I have the Kickstarter pack and I heard they did change the formula since the original was harder to condition, however I do think overall it’s softer. Which is a shame because as much as I dislike conditioning this clay, I like the firmness of it. Although, even the original formula is a bit sticky when conditioning and it’s kinda hard to work with. I haven’t tried the newer formulas so I can’t speak on comparing those. I’m sorry you had a bad experience.

    • @trenonights6635

      I would bake it for longer than recommended. I typically never bake for less than 45 minutes. Also make sure you’re using an oven thermometer to ensure your oven is the correct temperature.
