I don’t think they “think we want ptw stuff” they need money to continue operating as a company and a business. Pretty simple to understand that you need money constantly coming in to continue operating a business. Secondly most of the tarkov community paid for their game years ago it’s not like the game was just released recently when it’s blown up in popularity it’s been available for purchase for what 8 years now? none of that old money is helping them pay for anything and hasn’t for years. They need more money to continue working on tarkov and nobody is forcing anyone to buy this new edition. If you really think extra pockets and some bs lvl 3 skills is going to change the game that dramatically then your not very experienced in tarkov.
@@OhBreezy That’s all well and good, but a 250$ edition?? That price is inexcusable, especially considering it’s the only way to access the PvE mode, which is one of the most requested features of all time. This game being around and in “beta” for 8 years is completely on BSG. That’s not the players fault. When they sold EOD at 150$ (not a small amount), they also promised that those same supporters would get access to ALL SUBSEQUENT DLCS. This new PvE mode, whether they like it or not, is DLC, and needs to be given to EOD players. You made a promise to players willing to drop a fat amount of money to support you. Uphold that promise. That simple. If you need money that badly, then just be transparent with the community. “Here, give us 5 bucks, and you can have a hideout cat”. Hell, they could’ve even gotten away with charging EOD players an extra 10-20$ for the PvE mode and the overall reaction, albeit probably still negative, would have atleast been manageable. This is an unprecedented amount of greed coming from BSG, and it’s a spit in the face to their long time supporters who have put hundreds and thousands of hours into their game.

They already sell stash space, and I didn't care cause that's whatever. The whole point is they are breaking a promise that was made to all EOD players that we would get "all features that tarkov release. If they want to sell micros to help with development, that's fine.

All of these streamers can be bought with sponsorship money; Arena Breakout was just the high bidder. They only cared about Tarkov to the extent that it got them the greatest amount of money through a viewership combination of people that would watch a high number of ads and people that send them free money through bits. You will see them all jumping from game to game chasing a dollar for the next few months.

@@eeeeeeee543 no, you dont have to, but when you pay 150 and you are promised that was all you needed to pay and that promise was broken then you have to have a stand. its not a matter of cost, its a matter of principle.
The problem is not expensive pack, the problem is EoD was promised to be the ultimate edition. That is why so many people, including me, bought it straight up. And don't forget BSG didn't want to include Arena in the EoD since Arena is apparently a separate game.
It's not only this. P2W, lying, mechanics that shouldn't be in the game, this matchmaking stuff. I feel like I forgot sth crucial but it's just too much to take.

For Persistent PvE, they could just run a local server which the phones home at the end if the raid to save
Yea them hosting the servers is the only reason it might need to be expensive, but if you could have just hosted them locally there would be no justification for this price. This sucks, and knowing they are almost certainly going to start going hard to block spt sucks more.

Honestly they don't even need to communicate at all with the main server. SPT has a local server you run that saves everything no problem.

The only reason I could think of for not running a local server would be because their server side software is so horribly optimized no reasonable gaming pc could run it and tarkov at the same time. It’s definitely not to prevent hacking, they clearly don’t give af about that.

I think viewer count for GZW is only low right now because its still closed to the general public, once we all get access to actually play then lots of people will want to keep up with the new info.

The answer was then walk. instead of ok we look into it and make you able to shoot from your seat or something.

My guess with Grey Zone is alot of people will be much more interested in it once there is public testing for them to get their hands on. Not being able to play it yourself is a big turn off for a lot of people while watching someone else have a good time

Hang in there bro I really hope you continue making UA-cam content obviously I don't want you to do that if it's going to be negative for you or if you can't make a living but I think you are one of the best news channels out there for gaming. I didn't watch as much of the grayzone content simply because I don't generally watch games that I can't play because I don't have access to them so I'm really just waiting for this to actually be playable.
Tarkov was basically my life for a few wipes. I have over 1000hrs in the game. It’s caught my eye since the announcement. I was pretty much addicted up until the cheating and other issues got to be too much to bear. This is so sad man
They could easily compromise by turning the Unheard edition into an early access situation. Take that 6 months and just make it so unheard gets early access to PvE and then after that it opens up for everyone else. Lets them scale servers while still incentivizing people to buy the new edition AND it doesn't really take away from the people who already bought it.

When gray zone warfare came out i didnt really care about it. But after this new edition in tarkov i started looking for an alt game and gray zone looked amazing.
I believe grey zone is like shooting tarkov in the chest with a pm while tarkov is wearing level 6 Thor armor which normally would be a non issue but tarkov shot itself in the plate until it got zeroed and the chest has 1 hp
PvE mode could minus well be on "Peer to Peer" connection if their server "infrastructure" doesn't allow it.
Not to mention the controversy that is removing EOD from sale, locking people out of p2w upgrades.

Also, the reason I'm not interested in Gray Zone is that I find jungles/tropical environs to be utterly boring. I also don't find assaulting shabby worn out, decaying hamlets and gunning down starving VietCong types to be fun or a challenge.

My thoughts on bsg doing this are, had they asked us to help, or said hey we need to make money to push for 1.0 or sometbing like this, everyone would have bought it and it wouldn't have been an issue. I got it in 2018 and have spent 0 on it since then.
Instead we got what seems /feels like a middle finger....

I wish bsg would swallow their pride and reach out to the SPT devs for their code. They worked on it for free for the community and im sure would love to see it added to the main game. It would save BSG a ton of work cause they would be able to add mod compatibility (improved AI notably). Sure it requires a higher end system to run the server, so, for some they would be unable to, but that gives them the option to have a $15-$25 upgrade to have bsg host the server for you instead.
The server itself on SPT is pretty light. If BSG wanted the least amount of work, they could've made the PVE mode P2P to completely remove the need to use servers.

They don't by the way. If you launch the game right now on an EOD account and hover over the PVE Zone, it straight up just tells you that you need the new edition to even play PVE.

I played Tarkov for years with EoD edition, but eventually the quest grind and wipe cycles got quite repetitive. I don't like when game mechanics force me to play in a certain pace and if you start late during the wipe you are in a massive disadvantage and the big cheater problem is what drove me away. I play Tarkov at my own pace now. SPT Tarkov has amazing mods and it kinda reignited my enjoyment of the game. And I would suggest it as a learning tool for new players.
I should be mad because I was promised all future DLC content for free, but at this point I am quite apathetic.

It's interesting how I have been talking about BSG not fixing its anti cheat and just "banning" accounts so the hackers just buy another account for more money and this feels alot more in our face.

Before reading the details of the Unheard Of Edition, I had thought that EOD would eventually get the PVE mode, but you just paid upfront to get ahead of the queue.
Genuinely excited about gray zone and will certainly try it. Hoping there's the option to upgrade from base game to supporter for the price difference should we love it.

im all in with GZW. I think its a refreshing new option in the extraction scene. And for the time in development its in my opinion in a good state right of the beginning, comparing it to EFT 2018
I have nothing to back this up, but it feels like they brought in a team of executives amd gave them part of the company in hopes that they could turn their financials around. It is super strange and a little suspicious that they filed a delay on their financial report to be released in the UK.

BSG had the golden goose, a community that didn’t really care about $150 edition and MTX in the game, all they had to do was continue on the same path, instead of that they picked up the golden goose and fucked the life out of it…

Honestly, the way they released Arena, would have been a good way to release this new Mode. They could have started with the people who have owned EOD the longest and started there.

If they said "hey community, we want to realse a coop pve progressive mode and the server infrastructure is going to cost us a lot. Because of that additional upkeep, It will cost 30$ for non eod accounts and 10$ for eod accounts." Almost every tarkov player would have bought it and smiled.
That said. I'd happily trade my eod arena access for the pve game mode.

So it is confirmed that the beacon that invites your friends in the raid will be available with the other editions. The radio on the other hand is p2w. it will possibly be the legacy item for eod.
The radio item is not that bad. Accoring to video made by VeryBadScav I would say its pretty useless.

The radio makes you lose rep for killing scavs, so it’s completely balanced

Grey Zone seemed cool on paper to me. It just looked really rough and confusing during the tests. It looked hard to really understand who anybody is and how the game would operate with more players in the server. I think another element is that it’s the type of game that you want to watch when you understand what is going on from first hand experience, kind of like tarkov in my opinion.
hyped for arena played on mobile its so much more casual with its gameplay for example everyone in the match will get a random objective and if you complete it you get a good amount of money AND IF YOU DIE YOU GET TO KEEP IT :D real reasons to pvp/go to hotzones

For Gray Zone, the game looks cool, but I think a lot of us normal people weren't thrilled with only streamers being able to play the game for this test. At least that is how myself and my gaming buddies feel. I understand that streamers are basically free advertisement for a game, but it isn't a great look to have a test specifically for creators.

i've only been avoiding Gray Zone streams because I wanted my first real exposure to the game to be when I get to play it for myself
If you want PVE singleplayer play SPT, if you want Coop PVE play MPT/Project Fika, If you want Live EFT but free and less broken/dead Arena Breakout. And finally if you want Tarkov but more Milsim like, Gray Zone Warfare.
I can completely understand why they didn't want to give everyone access to PvE, at least with how they are running the PvE servers. Since they are hosting the PvE lobbies for us, it means we can have better performance as opposed to if we had to host the servers locally, eg like SPT; performance can take a massive hit due to the cpu load from all the ai etc. You can imagine how many PvE instances there will be, that's a massive amount of server load to have at all times. Think it just goes to show how rushed this PvE mode was for obvious reasons. I think having a more optimized iteration of the game to allow players to play PvE locally is the best play for both parties. (maybe they don't want to though because modding/save data manipulation and such will be easier)
Starting gear is NOT - Repeat - NOT P2W - those folks have taken it WAY too far. Not everything is P2W.
Do we know if the packages they’re selling will work like tarkov in the sense of if I buy the base edition but decide later to buy the higher tier ones will they just split the difference?
please ask GZW devs about the stiff "action-figure" like animations/motion rigging. if that gets smoothed out up to the level of tarkov it would be insane. I play a lot of Squad so I'm definitely interested in picking it up once it becomes available to play.
I was always hesitant to download the SP Tarkov mod , not now it’s free . Also I’m super pumped for Greg Zone warfare !
For the PVE stuff, if it really is a capacity issue than they should have said that it is early access for it.
Im very impressed with Arena Breakouts' aggressive marketing moves. I hope their game is as good as their marketing team.
