Very proud of this generation of young athletes. Clark represents her sport, her teammates, her school, her state and her larger community with respect and dignity. I'm happy she has a say in how she's presented.

I doubt she will ever read this, but she kind of just ran through this speech, and she's young obviously, and she will be winning a ton of awards in her life, but she needs to take advantage of the platform when she earns it for the ones following behind her. Not even just in basketball, but life in general. This is a person with a lot of perspective on the world at large, even at like 19/20. There haven't been this many women athletes with eyes all on her in this era like this and I would love to listen to her speak at large about what it took to get to where she is on stage, 200%. Regardless though, Congratulations to her 100% and I am sure we at large will be seeing her win another 50 awards.

I am looking forward to the 2023-2024 college basketball season with some curiosity about how good the Iowa women will actually be as a team. They lost two important players to graduation and have a real challenge to replace their contributions or even to more than replace them. At this point I doubt the Hawkeyes can win the Big Ten (regular season or tournament) or make it back to the NCAA Final Four. But barring injury, they will have the country’s best college player, and that will count for a lot.
