There are a few things that I absolutely love about your videos: 1. They are neat and structured. Many UA-camrs just beat around the bush for too long, which makes it super hard to follow. Considering you structuring your videos in several parts and verbally sticking to the most important things makes it super comfortable to listen to you. Thank you for this. 2. The effectiveness of what you're saying. I'm running an NCT imagine account and even though this niche is barely comparable to other niches your tips yet help me out immensely. Thank you for this. 3. Great point about hiding your posts / reels in stories. I was doing that up until recently, when I realized that I usually skip over others' posts when they do that. I figured if I couldn't bother putting in the effort to click, then my viewers are probably just as annoyed with me doing that. Thanks for confirming my feeling! haha Thanks for the helpful tips!
Was literally putting in periods to space out my captions last weekend and thinking “I wonder if this is still a thing…” 😂😂 Thank you for clearing that up! So happy to leave that behind. Great video 😊
Never liked the follow unfolow method or mentioning multiple accounts on my posts. Glad you talked about these tactics that should be definitely left behind!
One thing that shocked me was that when a reel is viewed in your story without being clicked on, that you get those views. I wish there was a way for them to like it from the story without having to click on it and then find the like button.
The posting everyday I can’t tell you how many people I have unfollowed because of this 🤦🏾♀️ like give me time to miss you 😩 there needs to be some type of balance between posting everyday and being a ghost

Important to know how to market on social media in a way that keeps you and your family safe. Or just be very effective at avoiding social media altogether the way it was done in the old days. Which worked just fine. One photograph of even just a head shot can mean your life. I've now had two REALLY scary men either physically come into my business in a very terrifying/inappropriate way or text me very creepy texts that just sent white hot fear through me. I'm furiously resentful of being forced into letting the world know we all exist in order for your business to be taken seriously.
Loved all your tips. I haven’t done any of it really except for using frames for photos which I stopped a few weeks ago because I saw that these were the only posts that didn’t do very well. I don’t share my posts and reels on my stories anymore at all because they hijack my story views. That wasn’t always the case but recently the difference is huge. Since I stopped I haven’t seen any difference on my feed and Reel engagement. I’ve literally never seen anyone talking about this so it could just be me lol 😆
I had to chuckle a little once when someone commented on one of my ig posts with a bunch of emojis and basically said I had an amazing portfolio (I personally think it's still a major work in progress but that's beside the point) and to please follow them and that was literally the only "interaction" I had with them. For someone who said they liked what I do, one would think they would provide some evidence to back up their words. Maybe like a post or two since then. At the very least like the post where you claimed I had such an "amazing" portfolio. nope
The follow-unfollow and covering your posts in stories annoy the heck out of me. The former is hurtful as well. There's a particular bunch of people that I know followed me and then unfollowed, and I initially thought it was instagram problem, or some bot messing up. But getting followed and unfollowed by someone three times, is two times too many. I'm glad there are content creators out here trying to bust instagram myths out.
the hashtag strategy when posting stories.. does the same apply with regular posts? Is it unnecessary to add as many hashtags as you can to a post so that it will be seen?

This came up randomly on my feed. And I’m def subscribing! Amazing. You are very easy to listen to. Straight to the point. Very helping! You mentioned 1080x1350. But, what if u want to post a saved photo from either IG story mode or Snapchat, is there a way to make that into a portrait dimension (1080x1350) without loosing real estate per say? Since it is bigger in length? Hopefully, you understand what I mean.

I 've been posting reels for the past 4 months, 2 or 3 times a day, yes, that much. I have a business acc, post high quality video, very relevant to my niche. My Bio is spot on, and even so, in 4 months of reels (almost 200 posted) I only gained 50 followers and very few views gained. I think IG has some parameters for the reels (category and video quality) but after that, it's a lottery, there is no magical wand or recipe, it is pure lottery. I just cannot put a finger on what I'm doing wrong. Great videos, new sub here :)
I notice that decor accounts in engagement groups are going to the explorer page and getting 10k in likes on their photo posts and their reels are skyrocketing and gaining them followers. Does the new algorithm not see this? Will these accounts continue to grow although it's inauthentic? I am not in one and my account has grown organically so much but engagement from private accounts is not all that high when compared to decor accounts in engagement pods. Won't brands prefer those accounts over mine bc theirs look more successful. I see them working with brands all the time.
The "un authentic" strategies that I mention in these videos do work...for a bit. Some people will start to see results. Maybe an increase in followers, maybe an increase in engagement rate, but later down the road it's all going to disappear because Instagram will start to notice those "suspicious" patterns. I've seen it happen a million times! Don't compare yourself to them 💪🏽🤗
I’m a first time watcher. You shared some things I’ve never heard of. I had no idea about the noice cancelling app Krisp. Also thanks for the tip about not having to use multiple hashtags in stories! Still thinking I HAD to do this for more reach. Thanks for shedding light on these “old ways” and helping bring us into the New Year right 😄!
I have a question ... Once upon a time, I used to see all the posts from who I'm following, chronologically, and at the end it would say "You're all caught up." It still says that, but before I do, I now see TONS of irrelevant posts from various hashtags. What used to take 10 minutes to scroll through now takes 20. Is this based on what I'm reacting to? Does it have to do with pausing on an image and NOT reacting to it? Is there anything I can do to go back to seeing "people I'm following" images only? Thanks.

Honestly, I found if you stay off IG and engage less, the algorithm will try to re-enage you. It will try and get you back on the "hook". Playing "hard to catch" seems to increase reach. Mix it up and keep the algorithm guess.
Oooh Krisp sounds amazing! I hope creators use it… I don’t know what’s more annoying, the noise or creators complaining about the noise like the world revolves around them making a video 😬
Millie love your videos 👍. How do you rearrange photos from your POST grid? Or, can you? Wanting to clean up, update and change my grid a little. But if I hold the photo it just expands, clicking the photo pulls up and by clicking the 3 dots I have options but none are to rearrange. Only edit, delete, share etc...do I need to change to Creator account?

For me, it's not a short attention span, I think everyone just got tired very quickly of people being dishonest, no matter how "innocent" that dishonesty was. People respond positively to transparency.

the bits they use to flag comments sre so bad. i got banned for saying people are animals. while if you know anything about biology its very clear we are animals.
I somehow managed to start attracting the exact opposite people than who I am trying to reach. Any tips to change the course of interaction? Should I do a break then restart after a few months?
This is helpful. I agree about the follow/unfollow method. I started blocking people who do this because I had the same person do it three times. He was so desperate for follows he didn't learn the names/faces and kept repeating it with the same people.

You didn't mention the posting of Tik Tok content in your Gram or Reels. STOP DOING THAT!

This is helpful. I agree about the follow/unfollow method. I started blocking people who do this because I had the same person do it three times. He was so desperate for follows he didn't learn the names/faces and kept repeating it with the same people.
