Janey, you are a blessing to me every time I watch your video. I enjoyed looking inside of your lovely home. Your house plants are beautiful. I have a little dog that loves to eat everything. So I use pretty artificial plants inside my home. I loved your idea of placing battery candles in glass vases. I believe you had several glass vases with candles beside your front door area. I do hope my garden friend that your day is filled with many blessings.

I'm new to your channel and am really enjoying it. I think you do very well with house plants. I live in East Texas and we are just right behind you temperature wise. And of course our humidity is out of sight. During the Summer my houseplants go outside. Either on the porch or hanging in the trees. They love it. What do you fertilize your houseplants with ?

Good Morning Janey....enjoyed the indoor plant tour...you can never have enough indoor plants. An idea that popped into my head when I seen the pothos over your bed...you should do an espalier with the pothos above your headboard.

Hello Janey! One of my top indoor plants for medium to low light is Chamaedorea elegans a.k.a parlour palm. It's readily available here in Australia so I imagine it'll be available in California too! Oh, and, I am thoroughly enjoying your videos.

Nice collection! I don't have any house plants because we don't have enough natural light coming in. But my garden is filled.
I grew up in L.A.'s San Gabriel Valley and in heat waves we'd shut the curtains from early morning. Our house was a 50s house so just the window a/c and water cooler and fans.
Here in France we're having 2 more days of 90f temps but A/Cs aren't the norm (portable systems have become popular in the last 6+ years because of climate changes) so we close the shutters and drapes to help keep out the heat.

14:42 seems to be an Epipremnum Aureum 'Marble Queen', not a Golden! In brighter light, the variegation come in lily white.
Edit: Same with 16:51, it's another 'Marble Queen'! Very beautiful plants.
Edit 2: The one at 25:33 is also a 'Marble Queen'! Just reverted like you said of course.
Edit 3: The plant at 27:17 looks more like an Epipremnum Aureum 'Glacier'! They are known for their green edges and a lot of the "silver" colouring.
Edit 4: I know this is probably super annoying at this point, but the plant at 27:41 is a Scindapsus Pictus 'Silvery Anne'.
Edit 5: 28:20 is a Monstera Deliciosa, small form! "Split leaf Philodendron" is a blanket term for a few Monstera, Philodendron and Thaumatophyllum.

Janey - make a video on the struggles of gardening in zone 9. I'm in Hou, TX and we have reached 95-100 degrees for 2 weeks. My roses are struggling in this heat and it's not even August yet.
Houston here, too. This heat is horrible! I’m afraid for July & August. 😭

I love your String of Hearts! I have one that surprised me with blooms that turned into feathery seeds! I started a bunch of them…they grow quickly! I’ve never seen that happen before…really fun!!

I love seeing all your plants! I still have my first pothos plant I bought the first week of being married, 24 years ago. I start new ones and give them away. My mom just gave me a cutting from her ZZ plant, I put it in a semi-dark hallway, amazing how it likes it there. I am banned from having more plants though 😬🌸💙
Oh my goodness 24 year old pothos! You go girl!! Haha, I've been banned a few times as well. Somehow the ban always gets forgotten though! 🤷🏼♀️😆

I love the view out of the sink! Wow. Ours overlooks the driveway (and cars) with the fence as a backdrop. Very unattractive view. I need to convince my husband to let me do honeysuckle arches. Yours looks amazing!

A fiddle leaf fig would do well in your big crock. People say they are finicky, but they just like consistent light and water. Let it dry out slightly, and don't move it around a lot.

Maybe get some grow lights. They have bulbs you can put in a normal fixture, I have them and my plants love them
We are in same boat. We are having a horrible heat wave in North Texas and I dread going outside and look at all my sad plants. So I tend to my indoor ones which are doing very well, how about snake plants? I use these to decorate darker areas of my home.
Loved the indoor plant share and back story. I’m in Florida and also agree it’s to hot 🥵 let’s see who survives and I’ll be inside with me indoor babies till the evening

So crazy. . . we are only a couple hours away and it get WAY HOTTER in your area. I always gauge my plants by what yours are doing. So funny. . . yours are always a couple weeks ahead of mine. YOU are my garden GAUGE! hahaha

I love house plants also. Your collection is amazing. I worked in a floral department at a grocery store. I was always excited with the new plant delivery every week. Watering and grooming was the thing I loved about my job most. Have a wonderful day.

I have a hoya carnosa compacta also, and it does grow slowwwww... but I found when I gave it a "summer vacation" aka put it outside for the summer, in a spot that got late afternoon/evening sun only, (also our summers do not get as hot as yours) it did have a growth spurt.

I fertilize mine maybe once a month with the pump n grow that I linked in the video description! I just put a pump of it in my watering can and water the string of hearts 💗

My prayer plant does the same thing. I read that if you water them with tap water the chlorine will do that. So I let my water sit for a few days to let the chlorine dissipate before watering the plant. It has helped alot!

You should put a little grow light on a timer under your counter cabinet--if you get the right type it'll be cute mood lighting and your plants will thrive
Cebu blue is definitely on my wishlist! and I could be wrong, but it looks like your string of hearts is a string of glory (a rarer type of string of hearts) love my string of hearts!
