lots of technical stuff, but I am missing something that is emotion, so many great technical drummers but where is the spark, the fire and the fury??? well I'll be on tour with zappa band project object and we are opening for brand x, I will be in top form and can't wait to talk to Kenny. too much fills he's great but why play so many notes when it doesn't call for a drum solo over Percy amazing bass solo!!!!
I hear intense emotion in Kenny's playing. Definitely filled with fire and fury!
Because the style is tight and flows with the bass fury doesn't entail that it needs to be loud and crazy he has control and agility
I watched this clip and i am assuming it is you? Jerry Cuccurullo - Thirteen live at B.B. Kings 10-29-11 You and this drummer Kenny have very similar styles. So i'm not sure where you're coming from with your comments??? You were just as busy in a slower tempo tune. When i watch drummers like you and Kenny there is no air or breathing in your playing. It is a constant barrage of fills. It's not even music.
