What kind of setup do you have at home? Any acoustic treatment or anything? Recording in a bedroom with carpet etc? Size of the room. Let me know and I'll give you some recommendations!
Ooo the Rode N1 5th Gen is a condenser microphone. The Rode Podmic is a dynamic microphone. N1 will give you richer tones for voiceover, but because it's a condenser microphone you'll need to be in a space that is more "treated"/ has some sound proofing. N1 doesn't handle well in rooms that have too many hard surfaces or are too large. Podmic handles this much better but the tone isn't quite as good. So - your decision should be based on where you're going to be recording. Hope that helps!
@@bambymedia Thank you so much for clearing that up, I think the podmic usb suites my situation better because most of the time I will be recording in untreated room.
No problem. It depends on what country you are in, and where you want to purchase it from but in USD it's about $180 at the moment. There are a couple left on Amazon: amzn.to/4i2ontd
Great review! Love your uncomplicated style.
Nice
Love it! what mic that you've reviewed would you recommend for vocalists at home? (USB ideally) I've tried Rode NT but looking for something better

No problem! leave the pop filter off, open up the case, and just chew on the diaphragm of the mic :)
