    My husband and I are in our sixty’s and we choose Princess because of the Medallion and the app and the beautiful ships.

    It was super easy to use when we were on the Grand Princess in Jan 2023.

    Sounds Great! But do we have to also have wifi access to utilize our medallion? Thanks! - Bob

      No, once on board you can download and use the Princess Cruises app, OceanMedallion, and all Princess digital experiences for free. But, it's suggested you download the app prior to boarding to enjoy seamless boarding with OceanReady.

    My friend and I are sharing a cabin. Will each of our medallions tie to our individual credit card numbers, or do all charges go on one card? Do the medallions have each of our names on them?

    • @robert3715
      @robert3715 Рік тому +1

      Yes, your medallions have your names on them and yes you can have your individual charges charged to individual credit cards

      Hi Ann! Each person will sign into their own booking and provide their personal credit card information. The Medallions will have the passengers name, ship and sailing date on the front of the Medallion. So, you’re good to go for your upcoming trip!

    I’m cruise ready Green, when will I have the time for boarding the ship in Vancouver? I leave July 4.
    Thanks

      We’re sailing in June and I was able to select my boarding time. On the app, scroll down to ~Personal Information & Documents. On the next screen, scroll down to ~Arrivals under the Suggested category. The rest is pretty self explanatory as you select your arrival time and boarding group is assigned. Our extended family travel companions were still Blue Lane and the boarding group we had already selected was no longer available for them when they finally turned Green Lane, so we ended up having to switch to the later time so we can board together. Hope that helps! 😊

    I purchase the classic soda pkg it says "The package includes all, fountain sodas, and cans of soda and juices (excluding the fresh juice bar), mocktails, and smoothies as per the menu".I am use to just free soda, are there certain places I have to get mocktails and smoothies.

    • @GoTravelTV
      @GoTravelTV  Рік тому

      Hi Brad. You can find mocktails at most bars. For smoothies, check with the onboard staff as there are some specific venues depending on your ship offering smoothies… like Ocean Terrace Bar.

    I am a celiac (gluten free): Will i be able to order food off of the app/medallion that would be made gluten free and how can i be certin?

    • @GoTravelTV
      @GoTravelTV  6 місяців тому

      Great question! To be sure, we reached out to our Princess representative for precise information. Here is their feedback:
      "It all depends on the guest's sensitivity. If they just avoid gluten and can order gluten free items at a restaurant normally (I always think vegetarian dishes, Thai, etc.), they can order those items like normal. However if they can’t have food that has been prepared anywhere around gluten then it will be a special conversation and the heads chef will begin planning their meals in advance and advising them what convenience foods they can have.
      With special dietary requests that require extra care and preparation with regards to cross contamination, Princess doesn't do orders directly off the medallion so that an additional conversation can be had with the head waiter or staff about the needs.
      Generally the guests will fill out the dietary needs form on the Princess App getting ocean ready and then when they sit to dine they will meet the head waiter who will discuss menu options and also future night dining and what items and where they can go for snacks etc.
      Our ready made food venues also carry a selection of items for dietary needs with some thing available on the app (think natural vegetation options, etc.)
      So they will eat well, but they will have those important conversations with a person so we make sure their dietary needs are met."

    We worked our way up to Platinum, and to us the main benefit was to be priority boarding. Now we're going to just get in line with everyone else?

    • @GoTravelTV
      @GoTravelTV  Рік тому +1

      Hi Nancy. Congratulations on platinum! Not to worry... you still have priority boarding along with other special discounts and privileges like access to the Platinum and Elite Lounge. To clarify regarding the check-in, the green and blue lane status is an indication of where guests are in their check in process for the medallion class program. Guests who have not completed their passenger information, dining, and medallion order are blue lane in order to complete this information at the pier before boarding. Green lane ready guests have completed all pre-cruise check in requirements in the medallion class system and go to a different line at the pier. Platinum or Elite guests still get priority in the boarding/check in process at the pier. Hope that helps!

    NOT THAT SIMPLE! STILL way too complicated for seniors, who, by the way, make up a large percentage of your cruisers :( Most don't want to HAVE TO walk around with our phones on a cruise.

    • @GoTravelTV
      @GoTravelTV  Рік тому +1

      Yes, we also have many clients who still prefer the simpler ways. Princess and other brands who cater to seniors do try to find ways to accommodate in other ways those who prefer not to use technology. Ask your travel advisor before you travel for tips if you prefer not using technology onboard.
