I first saw Park Hyungsik in 2014 in "Heirs" and I've loved him since then. I discovered Jeon So Nee in 2018 from "Encounter" and I immediately predicted she will rise to stardom with he acting skill.
After watching this drama for the 2nd time, I now understand why he waited for a year to fetch her. It was because in Ep 10, she told him, if he becomes the King, to change the law for arranged-marriage. Couples should know each other first for at least a year, hold hands and have their first kiss. That was exactly what he did, a year later 😂
I've waited so long to watch this drama and of course I wanted to like it but the writing for this drama was really REALLY repetitive. Happy for those who actually enjoyed it but I can't say the same for myself
This k-drama is very similar to CAPTIVATING THE KING. We could call it the ugly Original of 2023, opposed to the beautiful Copy made in 2024. Too slow the pace, too boring the plot and too uninteresting the characters with exception of MIN JAE YI. Really ugly, since the story was similar to CAPTIVASTING THE KING, which on the contrary won us over in everything. Evidently JO NAM KOOK is better than LEE JONG JAE. To not show all the beauty of JEON SO NEE for 18 episodes seemed to us an offence to the audience. Yes, it’s true, that the girl is so beautiful that even as a Man she is fascinating. From the romantic point of view, LEE JONG JAE thought well of making us suffer until the end. In fact, the ending was not at all obvious, given how clumsy and incapable the poor LEE HWAN was behaving. At least, at the very last second, as often happens in k-dramas, the desired happy-end.
