Mrs Bob has one of these and as nice as they are I just cant get used to using it, Id rather use a laptop. When she asked me how I change the batteries in one I didnt have a clue but eventually I got there.........where was your video then Michael !!! lol. Thanks for the video Mike and Kath, hopefully this will help someone who may have the same frustrations as I had.
yes the main battery was pretty simple but the other two hidden ones are a bit tricky! Bloody Microshaft
My surface pro 3 is still working great. I do have this pen but i got a new model pen as well. Never knew about the cell batteries. Thanks.

I’ve looked at that. He doesn’t list the battery. But those are the first gen. The battery is different. I can’t believe how hard it is to get a replacement battery for these things. It’s insane.

Great guide. However, the watch battery section is rather stuck on my pen. Any ideas on how to loosen it so I can take the batteries out? Thanks.
Not that I know of, maybe a little electrical contact cleaner spray?
If you look down through the top of the spring on the top of the pen, you can see an "X". You can stick a small Phillips-head screwdriver down there to unscrew it.
I've got no light after changing the coin cell batteries. Any ideas? They're in the right way.
did you replace the main AAA battery also?
The battery in my pen is corroded and won't come out any tips on what to do
you will need a fluid of some sort to breakdown the corrosion, but only a little bit so as not to damage the electrics. Electrical contact cleaner might be a good choice, or superglue something to the end of the battery to give something to pull on
