Great video earned my sub. I also hate the cuts. I’m planning on doing a chip swap soon with an English Pokémon crystal to a Japanese board because the Japanese pokemon crystal has such a cool board!
Good luck man! You’re right it’s a cool mod actually :) low melt solder does help a lot and a definitely flux gel and even easier with a hot air station but yeah just keep practicing you’ll get it down 😎
First of all thanks for the content! Great vídeo. So um havinf the same problem in a Pokemon blue and seen a bunch of threads to make a little wire and stuff. If I get the same chip I can swap it and that’s it? Thanks!
@AIIenIverson yeah as long as the board is the same model! You can see from the top right corner match that with another board of the same type and you can use that rom chip on the donor board

It just has to be the same exact board but yeah it should. I have done a Pokémon blue before it was just a matter of rom chip swapping

I have a game that has a dmg-bean(k)-02 board. Can i use a dmg-bean-02 board for a rom swap? does that (K) matter?
Look up the board friend it maybe slight different
