Yeah, took me a while and hell of a lot of practice. I would go out back for an hour or two every couple of nights and just review the basics. After about 2-3 months, I was comfortable enough with advanced stuff( e.g. Extreme spins, intros, transitions etc.) to go out to meetups and raves and show my skills. I've been Melbourne Shuffling for just over a year now and I'm pretty adept at it--to the point where I shuffle in my house and at school with ease and confidence. Francis inspired me. :3

I love watching the two shuffler types argue. They are both adapted from an older dance from the swing era. Truth is they have entirely different aims. Melbourne is a dance of skill and a culture. LMFAO is a simple dance designed to be picked up easily for concert pit dancing. I like Melbourne more, but LMFAO accomplished the goal they set out for. Enjoy them for what they are.

You don't have to Melbourne Shuffle to Hardstyle. You can shuffle to any type of Electronic Dance Music (EDM); Hard Trance, Trance, Electro, Hardstyle and even Techno.

@hollyfilth No...You can shuffle in anythn really...There just bigger which is better for moving and also on the bottom it kinda spreads out and covers the feet which gives it a better gliding effect :p
Anyone know where I can find the original video of the opening Shuffler? I believe its one of the members of HSK. I can't find that video anywhere. I believe it was taken somewhere in New Zealand but am not sure. I haven't watched it in years and would like to see it again.

yeah it's called melbourne shuffle tutorials... they're just gonna teach you basics. To be good like them you're just gonna have to keep practising and develop your own style. hope i helped ^_^
