Battlefield V (otherwise known as Battlefield 5) is a 2018 first-person shooter game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Why don't these games show the proper German Hakenkreuz(swastika)? I know we live in a world where everything's offensive to somebody,somewhere,but history's history,I don't see the problem,or is it a copyright thing or what?

So if you have the german Version of the game
you find no swatikas in it.

Honestly if there is a game that explored the axis perspective of the war I'd be most interested in it.
They just need to create the entire war in a 1:1 scale, where you can play as any side, in any position.
This was a great mission. I wish they’d do more to show the other side. Playing as a kamakazee in the pacific theater would be wild. Either you crash into a ship or get shot down and then you change to another player like the beginning of battlefield I

you start the game similar like battlefield 1, but only as japanese pilots. complete carnage, attacking an american carrier group, AA and corsairs evrywhere, you kill one or two corsairs before getting shredded, swap to the next guy dive bombing an carrier, before a big AA slams right in your windshield... do that 4-6 times and the last guy you play will be your main character.
shortly before he either surely dies, or we think he dies, it becomes a cinematic slow motion scene with japanese voice over, him narrating something like "...how did it come to this..."
10 years earlier:
here we give him his backstory, with family, him and his friends volunteering, then you get to boot camp which will be a short tutorial for keybindings and stuff and then the real campaign begins... either you fight chinese first, or start with pearl harbour... lets be honest... first mission pearl harbour? taking off the carrier, hundreds of planes in formation on their way to write history.... it would be an epic entrance for sure.
on a side note, id highly recommend and wish for the "warthunder - flight - feeling" which gives me way more freedom to maneuver and immersion...

you get to the "Kamikaze" mission and see your friends dying and its gonna be all tragic and dramatic and stuff....
i need a few "Tenno heika! BANZAI's in there of course, but i would argue the main character should somehow survive and narrate the story, so you can get the usual, but true message of "war is hell and disgusting, despite the heroism and sacrifice of so many"
throw some interviews with japanese pilots who survived in there, a la band of brothers and the game is perfection.

The idea of this gameplay was originally given by "Panzer Front" and "Steel Beasts". These two classics were ahead of their time more than 20 years ago.
Only problem I have with this mission is watching the front end of the tracks bounce off the ground every shot....no reason for that. This tank is heavy, and designed to handle the 88's recoil well. Thats....basically the point of the tank was to handle a massive cannon like the 88 well.
Yah kinda unrealistic and ruined the immersion. And the tiger kinda moves fast
That isn't totally true, the Hellcat had a 90mm gun and was no where near the weight of a Tiger

I love the story of this mission. But the modern turret traverse speed mixed with an unrealistic bounce from every shot pulled me back out of the story of this mission.

Battlefield is well put together I remember sitting on my old PC playing Battlefield 1942 and loved stealing the Tiger Tank and just destroying everything that moved that wasn't on my team.

@@Tony-tourette That's the only one I haven't played because at the time the PC I had did not meet the requirements to play but I would of loved to play. The PC I had was XP and had Nvidia Geforce 2 and the PC itself was an upgrade of XP from 98 SE but then the first laptop I had would of played Battlefield Vietnam good. I have heard Vietnam was a good one to play and would like to play it some day.
I guess realism is out the window.... a tank that just drives alone down several streets in an urban area with no supporting infantry is ridiculous. You're basically blind in there and you can get ambushed real easy.
You cant compare Military tactics from then vs now its about 75 years Difference
@@Sinan-kp9ig Go do some research. Even in WW2, tanks were always supported by infantry..especially in urban environments. No one ever thought that it was a good idea to send a lone tank driving at full speed down streets halfway through a city.
yeah... they dont really get how tanks work in the first place, the game looks cool but the tank mechanics are dumb.
I would love to see a full game like this. Something like Cross of Iron. That would give an absolute success for creators. It would be the first game of such kind. Absolutely astonishing thing..
The inner cut scenes had me feeling like something was off. Then I remembered I've actually been inside a Tiger. It is not at all that spacious

That's really impressive. And I like how the opening "You were there/ I was there" story sets up the undercurrent of guilt without depicting every single German Army fighter as a slavering SS fanatic.

you weren't that much worse than the allies actually but you get to be called the bad guys only because you lost. the allies were criminals too but since they won their crimes are either overlooked or celebrated like the bombardment of Dresden. anyways you are still under US occupation till this day

If we were talking about WW1 sure, I would even say I could be more sympathetic to the Germans than the western allies in WW1, WW2 is completely different.
WW2 is a direct outcome to WW1. there was an anti German genocide in central Europe after WW1 and before the start of WW2. The Germans were defending themselves got successful and then thought they can avenge ww1. Both did crimes but the Germans are the only ones to be blamed for everything including their own civilian casualties in Dresden for example.
the allies did similar crimes on the Pacific front like the constant bombardment of Tokyo and other cities targeting mainly civilians to break morale.

A tank that was unreliable and often broke down? And it was a total bitch to repair. I’d rather be in a M4 medium tank which can be repaired relatively easily and had a high survivability rating.

How the hell did the German's lose with tanks like that, it took more damage in one game than the whole German army did in the war lol.
It must have been the heal all button, well at least they didn't have a 'focus - see through walls' button that I could see.
They froze to death on the Eastern front, they basically fucked the entire war by not being buds with Russia

I would drop down to a 1440p display if I were you as the stutter you can see when the Tiger rolled through the gates shows that your rig is struggling with 4K .
its one of the only games that lets you play from a Germans prespective this was a good series of missions

Both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V (Battlefield 5) have an incredible campaign in my opinion…
Especially the fact that they’ve taken real events that are less known to most people and giving them some well deserved attention and respect…

But regardless, one-man and stealth operations was a very real part of WWII and probably more common than most people realize…
So in my opinion it makes a lot of sense that missions like that are a part of a WWII game that the developers made an effort to make as a (close to) historically correct game…
This should have been the mission length of the urban tank mission in call of duty WWII. this mission looks more like a capmpaign

It's not a good game. This is the only good level. The other levels you play as a teenage girl and her mother single handedly taking on hundreds of German troops don't buy I repeat don't buy
II so wish we had a new single player tank simulation (on the level of panzer elite or steel beasts) with graphics like this and dynamic campaigns. It looks great but I am not into shallow action "shooter" games. Just looking at the play you can tell this is not a simulation and its a limited "on the rails" map, bullet sponge, type game like Sniper Elite in a tank....sad

~Unless it represents a late war tank from the Ruhr combat areas 'Panzergruppe FEHRMANN' unit, which had 5 or so Panthers & 3-4 Tiger 1's that had been patched up w/ any available parts on hand sitting in the factories, meaning mid & late model Tiger hulls refit with parts & spare-parts bin items drawn from earlier model Tigers. A true hodge-podge of parts....
-Although an admirable effort on the part of Lt. Fehrmann & his/the hastily tossed together unit crewmen, they'd gotten shot up pretty rapidly over the course of 2-3 days fighting time against overwhelming numbers of U.S forces in the area....;)

Last I checked Germans used gasoline engines in their tanks back in WW2. This sounds like a modern diesel. Also they didn’t move this fast in real combat. They were slow and loud. This game is not accurate at all.

Call of Duty: World at War had such balls showing WWII Nazi Germany. It was awesome. If they could do it, other games should, too. Battlefield V sucked because it omitted all that history, and hust showed a nameless German enemy.
The mission is boring like most of the recent ones and cod ones, Battlefield 1 though is top notch.

Very unrealistic portrayal of tank urban combat.
A solo tank driving through a city shooting enemies without infantry support or other tanks /APCs or support vehicles would be easily taken out by bazookas or mines or grenades.
Sure but its just a game. Realism would not be as fun.
Try Enlisted. I once accidentally opened my hatch as a tank commander during combat and instantly get shot in the head. :-D

Super unrealistic wow how tf does a damn 20 mm auto cannon hurt a tiger those small tanks the shermans and even the m4s they wouldnt be able to do anything hell alot of our anti tank weapons didnt do shit to a tiger either only the 76 mm on the m4s were capable of penning a tiger now the tank with the rocket system those are literally not as accurate as they are in the game also would not do damage to the tiger like it does in the game its to fast the machine gun bullets looks like some space gun shooting tiny people the bullets comparison to the humans in the game is way off idk why someone would put this much effort into a game and make it like this. But there's way to much off in this game like the fact the main part is a tiger tank driving fast as hell going into battles with tanks everywhere shooting lmao tiger tanks were for engaging the enemy from far away that's what the 88 mm gun was for there a reason the tiger 2 got an 88 mm gun instead of a bigger gun. Enlisted is way better for realistic tank battles they are just great in it.
