Clearly no "cost of living crisis" for the people scrapping those perfectly good cars.
It's unbelievable. These cars could still run for years. I guess it has become expensive to fix cars and too much of a hassle to sell them.
Thr people aren't it's insurance Co, cheaper to write off and get money back than storage car hire, repair etc it is what it is!
On the contrary, i think its the cost of tax, insurance and fuel (living) that pushes people to get rid of them. Selling nowadays is a joke with all the time wasters and people who want stuff for nothing. Scrap may be a low price, but it is convenient and fast. Its a shame really.
I think Trent’s will auction the Ford and Astra if not they will break for parts to save other vehicles
the bristol clean air zone might be a factor £9 a day if the car isn't compliant - it soon mounts up.

When you said truck needs fuel, this means driver needs his coffee!.
Shame about the 208 being a CAT B looked a decent spec one too having the xenon headlights, glass roof and half leather interior.

@@robloxfan4271 only thing I can think of is what Kev said it’s been in a flood which a shame it got CAT B for that but apparently that’s what happens to Flood damaged cars. A Citroen Dealer in Carmarthen a couple of years ago lost 2 transporters full of cars including brand new ones due to flood damaged. Many of them looked ok too but were CAT B

I went to Trents Poole and got a used starter motor for my Ford Transit. Great service for a local collection. Also I saw a Trent wagon like yours around Pennington Lymington Hampshire area last week with 6 recovered cars on, and I was thinking of you and this great channel.

The people that scrap perfectly running cars will be kicking themselves in 20 years time when there's no such thing as a cheap used car. An EV with a half decent battery will set you back £8-9K and even the remaining petrol and diesel ones will start going up in value as they become rarer as they're replaced by EV's!

nice budgens but that roundabout can get rather busy - i assume you already know you can scan your costa app on the coffee machine get a bean and then when you scan your shell drivers app at the till you get 10% off. us west darset people always lookin for a bargain ;)
Great vid Kev! It always makes me slightly nervous when you rev a car and drive it up the ramp to the back. I feel like you could fall off the end! I guess you will be collecting more 308’s. They will disappear off the roads quickly.
I can't believe what some people let their cars go for, have they too much money or just lazy ? With a clean, some could go to auction and make far more.

Why do people scrap such nice cars, and why do Trent pay such measly amounts for them lazy people can’t be bothered to sell them privately I expect, good work
Customers are accepting what Trent's offer for them, so they (the customers) must be happy.

the corsa and astra are perfectly fine, why are people scrapping perfectly good cars with low millage?
bristol clean air zone £9 a day to drive in the centre or thru the centre of bristol - it soon mounts up if your car isn't compliant.

The Corsa will be the timing chain they don't last long my sons fiancée just had to do one on her 48,000 mile 66 plate owned and dealer serviced it was not cheap.
