Beautiful job Michael and looks great on the cup!! So, you mentioned kerf, you didn't have to adjust for that?
I remember my daughter had to figure out the "kerf" on some wood projects. Could that have been because it wasn't built into the SVG? Or, does it depend on the laser and not the SVG?
    Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! On the kerf, in this case it didnt matter too much. In fact, the wider kerf helped me put the pieces back together. Where it matters is when your making a piece that needs to have a tight fit. You need to measure the material thickness and adjust the slot size the material will be fitting into. The slot needs to be smaller than the material thickness but you need to account for the kerf to make it a tight fit. One thing i use to get around it is something called a slot sizer. I found the SVG of it online and cut it on the P2. I can then take that sizer, slip it over the material i want to match, and use the found slot size to know exactly how big to make my slot in the design.

Hello, love your videos. As a newbie still lots to learn. I wonder do you have a video showing how to cut outlines within letters as well as outer eg …BOO. I want the letters as a drop shadow, but can’t cut the middles out on the outline? Also , my workspace doesn’t look the same as yours. You seem to have way more options. TIA from uk

Sorry, I am having trouble visualizing your question on the BOO. The software I am using is the current non-beta version of XCS.

I seen you highlight images then set to ignore. How are you doing that? What are you clicking after highlighting? Thanks
    The topper looks good.

Yea, sorry about not capturing the entire screen. To tell xcs to ignore an object on the screen, pick it, then turn off the output using the output toggle button on the right menu.

Thank you it worked. This will make large files easier to process.

@@jmarcant616 awesome! Make sure you check out my XCS video for a review of all the features in XCS. Once the new version comes out, I will make a new one.

Any reason you're not using the new XCS 2.0?

I do use the new 2.0 daily. I did not for this video since technically it is still in Beta.
