Watching a newbie learn the sawmill really makes you appreciate how smooth and efficient Em and Jade are. Great video. You trained all of us instead of just your mom.

A little tip if I may: During my carpenter years I learned that everybody makes mistakes. The Boss Lady learns quick. And Emerald, you are so patient! At first, it looks complicated, but once you get the hang of it, not so bad. This morning I counted the number of switches the driver operates on my new car. I got up to 68 and that didn't include all the positions each switch has. So, maybe it's more difficult to drive than to cut logs.
Great instructions, normally you never teach a family member how to drive or operate a sawmill, if you want to keep peace in the family. You did it ‘Em. More videos please.
Very impressive for your first log. Positive - can do attitude is what all teachers look for. Must of been fun for Jade to record your interactions with Em and the LT-40. A whole family of Winners.
One of the hardest things to teach is something you have been doing by rote for years. Verbalizing what you do and the thought process behind is the mark of a intelligent employee. You are all lucky to working together.
I took the skills required to mill logs for granted because the both Emerald and Jade make it look so seamless....... now I understand how much coordination, skills and knowledge it takes to mill logs in such a smooth fashion - as the Two of you do Em and Jade!
Hi Em, You really got your job cut out for yourself today. Teaching your mom/Bosslady - well that's one BIG task. Remember, for most of your life, it was just the other way around. I know that as with all other things, you as a family will pass this hurdle also with flying colors. Greetings from South Africa.
Now I realise how complicated that machine is to operate although Emerald makes it look super easy. That's when you know you're watching an expert. Very interesting video, well done to all.
Watching mom learn shows us how easy you girls make sawing look. It's quite complicated. It's also a good thing that machine isn't a horse. It would know right away there is a novice at the controls. Lol
I love the way you took the time to explain and let your Mom actually run the mill as opposed to running it and having her watch, hands on will accomplish much more. I found it to be super complicated and yet she did really well for the first time on the mill. Now three of the Breon ladies will be able to mill lumber so even if someone is off for the day the business will continue.
Good Job Boss Lady, Emerald you did outstanding! Now Boss Lady you can get a better feel of the hydraulics if you go out by yourself and run thru the operations with out a log a few times to learn the movements once comfortable Loggg on! Jla🤠
Emerald and Jade, you are so amazing, boss lady as well! I've had LT40 for 2 years and nowhere near as good as you girls🤦 I've learned so much from your videos..
You are a good teacher Emerald. Mom will take over shortly. I did myself a lot of technical teaching in my life and I really enjoyed it. Occasionally, I teach technical stuffs to my nephews and nieces. Operate a sawmil is like dancing. You have to remember each sequential movements. After a while, it becomes intuitive but you have to be mindful of small details because it can lead to fatal or catastrophic consequences. Big thumbs up to your mom willing to learn new things. Thank you!
Great video! Your mum looks more like your sister! You two REALLY look alike! Your mum did really well picking up the machine. As you said lots of little adjustments that you just do automatically without thinking that she has to learn and the order but looks like she did well! 👍🏴🇬🇧

Good to see mom….I know she is a beautiful mom I see it in her daughters…….a wonderful family
This is a rare event, daughter teaching mother how to run machinery. Nice job Emerald.

It sure takes some mind tuning to run that mill. Eventually one becomes one with the machine.
Terrific what a good lesson 😊
