I was curious to see how many of these I had read, only two; Speck in the sea and My old man and the ses. Chris Duff has some amazing solo kayaking books. He lives here in the spectacular Pacific Northwest! Thanks Trip
Before I stumbled onto UA-cam I used to read about 10-15 books a week. Now I watch that many videos in a day. You might want to catch Sailing GBU, a young couple currently refurbishing their sailboat, but their earlier videos are about getting a really cheap boat and barely prepping it before they sailed to Panama. Fun to watch! Sailing Uma is a young couple sailing an all-electric boat, they just spent an entire season sailing north of the Arctic Circle. Incredible footage! SV Delos has probably been around the longest, maybe 10 years and they've had some epic adventures.
just finished “into the jungle” by eric’s n ferenick (my first read as an adult not being first by school to read) it was awesome. I love reading of adventures that take place in the exotic spots in this world. this one takes place in the amazon. amazing story. really makes me wanna travel somewhere wild.
I loved A Salty Piece of Land. It's the largest novel I ever read all the way through. One book you may enjoy reading is On Celtic Tides by Chris Duff. It is a book written about his solo kayak trip around Ireland. It was the first book I read just for fun. It is well worth the read.
It’s good to see Where is Joe Merchant getting some love. One of my all time favorites. All of Buffett’s books are good reads. Any of Clive Cussler’s series are highly recommended.
The author of Pirate Hunters wrote a book called Shadow Divers. It's amazing. It's about a WW2 U-boat sunk of the coast of NJ. I think it's even better than Pirate Hunters.
I just ordered Andy Mcdermott's "Empire of Gold" after watching this video and reading comments. It is part of af whole series about Nina Wilde and Eddie Chase - so exited. Thanks for helping me find out what to read!🎉
Trip, I just finished Pirate Hunters based on your recommendation in this video. Great book man. May even do Shadow Divers, same author and one person from this book is on it as well. Thanks for the recommendation
A Speck in the Sea was a great book. Get a copy of Sea Quest, an anthology of global Bluewater adventuring. A great fiction sea story is the epic VOYAGE by Sterling Hayden who played the crazy general in Dr Strangelove. Diving to a Flash of Gold is a great treasure story. for old Florida, you can't get better than the yearling. The first book I ever bought was as a child, I bought a copy of Robert Manry's Tinkerbelle, which was the name of his tiny wood centerboard daysailor he modifies and sailed across the Atlantic. Finally, the best nautical voyage story has to be Slocum's Sailing alone Around the world.
The Story of a Shipwrecked Sailor by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The full title is The Story of a Shipwrecked Sailor: Who Drifted on a Liferaft for Ten Days Without Food or Water, Was Proclaimed a National Hero, Kissed by Beauty Queens, Made Rich Through Publicity, and Then Spurned by the Government and Forgotten for All Time.
Hatchet is such a classic. Very thankful a teacher read it to us in school.

Great video! I loved the book ‘Adrift’ for its philosophical musings and wild adventure. I’ll have to look into Flirting with Mermaids. 🗺️🧜♀️🌊

Got to give it some love, such a great book! I haven't tried Cussler... Heard good things though
Fantastic List
Looking forward to reading
A Speck on the Sea.
Picked up Pirate Hunters after seeing this video. Awesome book! Thank you for the recommendation!

Check out "Twisted Justice" by Rube Waddle. It is about the Sandy Creek murders which happened in P.C. FL.
The small craft book seems very interesting. I always like watching how people throw out excuses and make things happen
This was really cool, thanks
Thanks for a great review!
You betcha!

What do you think of clive cussler?
Have you read Deep Water by Watt Key? It's an at sea/scuba diving survival adventure. Was pretty intense.
I have not.... But it sounds like a good one 😉
KAYAN KOLLYN:
The great fantasy adventure book series for teens and youngsters 😊😊😊😊
Unmatched imaginary world 😊❤
Why everything here has water 😂
