My new favorite channel. This is very similar to the Arranger Track in Studio One. I can't imagine a workflow without an Arranger Track, regardless of DAW. Excellent content and presentation!
Hi Fred, thanks so much for your kind words! I keep meaning to check out Studio One - I'm going to see if I can download a demo of it over the festive period
Question, can you use the arranger track and export the track using the order defined? Really great instruction BTW. Thanks... edit never mind! You answered at the end!
Cool... it never ceases to amaze me how many ways you can use Cubase when you know these things... The arranger track could also perhaps be used to experiment with chord progressions if you use short cord bars as a section...
Well paced. The thing I liked is that you let the sections play fully and then go into the next section per the arrangement. This gave a new cubase user to fully understand rather than interpolate and risk confusion.
Thank you Sir iv tryd arranger bt i did not arm the track ...so for long time i thought its a useless feature ...so sory for that cubase ...showing the arranger blue button and playin the chain just blew my mind ...again thank you Sir...✌
How can you avoid the abrupt clipping on audio tracks for example an acc gtr that transitions from verse to chorus? Seems only useful for more electronic beats and synth music with very precise timing.
Good question-yes I can imagine with some like an acoustic guitar, it could sound quite un natural. A work around could be to use the arranger track to find an arrangement that you like - then once you're happy with the structure, manually copy and paste the midi regions (with the arranger track turned off) to match the structure you found with the arranger track. Hopefully that makes sense?
Morning Simon, and Happy New Year. Do you know if there is a way to have changes like mute and solo take effect at the start of the following bar? (I'm having fun in loop mode performing parts I've recorded, both midi and guitar/vocals. Usually over 16 bars. It would be nice yo drop out and bring back in parts at the same time. Currently the mute function for each track is instantaneous) Any help greatly appreciated.
I'm not too sure if that's possible in Cubase. Sounds like something that Ableton Live would be able to do in its Clip mode. I'll have a play around and will let you know if its possible! Happy New Year!

That is a fantastic idea - I hadn't thought of that. I will try that out with my students in class next week - thank you!
