you should breakdown the go ahead hr by him bat flip and alll
He's charging next time
And yet, Ryan Tepera just got suspended for 3 games for throwing behind Brad Woodruff. Woodruff made a scene, and although warnings were issued (the reasonable response) no one was ejected at the time. The suspension was issued subsequently, in a demonstration of hindsighted overreach.
Contreras does not crowd the plate. This is Milwaukee's INTENTIONAL strategy for pitching to Contreras. If they can't execute it without hitting him, they should expect retaliation and accept it without whining.
I'm sure you get this a lot but how much for you to cometary my life?

@@christopherwitkowski4741 you've obviously never edited a video. Having to zoom in just at the right time, and line everything else up, still takes a while. I've edited one or two videos, and they were really simple, basically just lining pictures up with the voiceover, but even then it took me multiple hours for a short video. Just saying, these guys work harder than you think
I love how Contreras had a different bat toss for every time he got hit by the Brewers
i dont think the first bat toss was by choice. He just dropped it lol.
@@ah7027 Don't think your comment was necessary.
Next time it might be used in an aggravated assault against a Brewer's pitcher.

right lol
Yep, outstanding OBP, might hurt a bit but yes
What is it?
Funny thing is it’s not. That’s the only way he gets on base😂
@@trevor3575 that's what I'm saying
As someone who isn’t really Contreras’ biggest fan, his reaction is totally justified. Can only take getting drilled so many times without getting mad
*His reaction is totally justified. Can only take getting drilled so many times without getting mad
especially by the same team over and over and over lol i didnt even realize the brewers had hit him that much
Probably, but the second time didn’t look intentional
@@gopackgo5772 None of them were intentional in that the pitcher didn't mean to hit him. But if the plan is to pitch him in, he's getting buzzed when then pitcher hits his spot, and getting hit when the pitcher misses. When you keep getting hit, it's understandable that's he's a bit grumpy.
Just the at bat before this with Sutter he clearly stuck his elbow out... no one on the brewers going head hunt contreras of all the cubs...
The fans covering their mouth over their masks 😂💀
we not used to masks covering our faces yet 😂 even tho it's been a year

@@thomasshaw9136 too bad the pitchers don't lol
I hope they send a hand written apology and a bottle of Vicodin or a 12 year old single malt to smooth things over. Or a video of every player in the brewer lineup giving the bullpen a hertz donut.
Pitcher be like "I only hit you once bro. When others bean you, you can't add that together."
"We're not tryna do this on purpose. We just suck at control."
Jomboy himself has said it "if you don't have the control to throw inside without hitting people, don't throw inside"
Boog Sciambi said it best after the Brewers did this. Like i get throwing inside to back batters up but if you have such bad control you can’t do it without hitting guys then knock it off.
I'm a Cubs fan but I think they show a TON of control if they're actually TRYING to hit his elbow. LOL!
"We suck at all kinds of control. Ball control. Impulse control to stop us from throwing inside when we have no ball control..."
"We're not intentionally trying to do this, we're just the Brewers."
This reminds me of that hilarious scene in Happy Gilmore when Sandler squats and gets hit in the chest by pitches and then that fat kid gets wrecked.
EDIT: Here's the link to the scene, still funny 25 years later.

Watching this feels like in the Office, when they read all the pranks Jim did to Dwight in a row, how Jim says "When....you read them all back to back like that, it sounds kinda mean". Except like, way worse.
That show taught us to cheer on Jim for doing diddly squat but be a bully!
These pitchers had much less intent lol
Bruh.... 💯
Definitely understand his anger after watching all those replays of him getting hit 🤣
And seeing the graphic. 6 times in the last 11 meetings? That’s ridiculous!
Claymore is clearly a reference to the anime Claymore, which since im a degenerate made it obvious
He was just hit yesterday by the Pirates with a rib shot. Contreras was the most hit batter last year and looks to be on pace this year too lol
MLB isn't concerned at all for hit batters. The guy is getting pummeled at the plate. You have to have pitchers lose their rotation and fine them.
We're almost at the "Oh my gawd they killed Kenny" stage with Contreras getting hit by the Brewers.
I personally think the people trying to "help" make it worse, if the catcher didn't walk up I feel like it'd been nothing more than a "What the fuck man?"
Ya the catchers going after the player after they get hit always get me. Like why start yelling at him to his face? If a catcher put his hands on me after I got hit, he'd be on the ground
The catcher is just putting himself between the batter and his pitcher. At any second, the hitter could charge the mound. I get what you're saying, but if the catcher didn't do anything and the hitter charged the mound and pounded on the pitcher, he'd be like "what the hell man?"
That montage of HBPs was brutal...
Was it though? He just lets most of them hit him in the elbow. He makes no attempt to avoid getting hit if it's coming straight at his hitters armor. When it's coming for his head or ribs he's suddenly a little more fleet of foot.
@@jst3w670 He’s also trying to take a ball in those situations where it’s coming in inside. When it’s coming at your head it’s a lot different.
@@jst3w670 I'm sure a batter would deliberately injure the limb that makes him money for a walk to first
@@yarghhargh9345 Injure the limb? Uh, do you not see the body armor he is wearing on his elbow? There's a reason he makes no attempt to get out of the way, cause the ball never actually hits HIM. Not a single one of those elbow shots elicited a reaction at all, and he clearly isn't being hurt by any of them.
That’s pretty impressive that they hit him in the elbow a lot. pinpoint accuracy
Why not bail out? Looks like he wanted to be hit? Definitely didn't pull his elbow out of the range. Now they want to move the mound back. Lower it. The only one objectionable was the one to the head. But, the Brewers really (or anyone) don't think Contreras is that good. He might. As far as that goes.
Because he has an elbow pad. He doesn’t feel it at all, which is why the only times he tried to actually avoid being hit are when the ball was thrown at his ribs and head. It’s funny that somebody who is so mad about being hit so frequently makes absolutely zero attempt to get out of the way.
Damn Jomboy. Love the love. Keep us smiling and loving baseball.
That rib shot at 1:57 even had me hurting

Joe Maddon got ejected a couple nights ago. Idk if its enough for a breakdown but I know how much jimmy loves him
Damn, I counted that he’s been hit 11 times vs the brewers alone (6x in the last 11 games). I once heard Curt Schilling say that he’s hit something like 56 players in his career, but only 2 were non-intentional.
Dude’s first punch on the next one to hit him is going to be a Thanos-type punch.
It’s ✨inevitable✨
Thanks man. Was waiting for this video since it happened
1:35 i lost it here 😂 the fact they showed this stat
Multiple clips there were from Chase Anderson who I think was our starter back in 2017! With our old jerseys!
3 UPLOADS IN A DAY??? IM NOT COMPLAINING
Ayyye good to see a former basketball coach/mentor of mine make an appearance in a video. Brent Suter is now an extra in Jomboy's videos? Guy is doing great things.
i just love the way he throws his bat down LOL
Jomboy speedruning uploads
Man that compilation of him getting beaned over and over and over again made me angry just watching it lol, his reaction was totally justified.
Mostly all by the same pitcher too.
Yeah pretty brutal, looks like the Brewers scouting report on him is "can't hit the up-and-in pitch", and their pitchers have a tendency to miss arm side. Every one was from a righty haha
That's some good work by Jomboy (or the guy who edits the videos. Not sure who.) to dig up all the HBP clips like that.
Giving the people what they want. 😎
I know baseball doesn't change very often, but I really wish getting hit by the ball would be a walk to second base.
It's not Barry Bonds level, but he's not really avoiding all those elbow shots.
Woodruff certainly made a lot of appearances in that HBP montage...
So the saga continued at the bucs game yesterday. Contreras got hit in the third and then got called out at second base for slide interference on a replay. It was a generally strange play that you should take a look at. Bryant got hit in the fourth and some beef ensued. The Cubs catching coach got ejected.
I mean he stands like I did when I was first learning baseball. Stand an inch off the plate you’re gonna get beaned.
That first one was to the face. That would have been enough for me. Dudes got the patience of a saint
its baseball. If you wanna get mad over a wild pitch you probably shouldn't be playing. Its pretty obvious he wasnt intentionally trying to hit him it was just a bad and unlucky pitch. Idk ive never understood people who get in a rage. Ive been hit intentionally and had people do dumb things. Its usually not worth getting worked up over.
@@ah7027 this isn't high school ball this is the pros where a wild throw is way more uncommon, and in a situation like that the pitcher should have manned up and apologized and didn't!! Also did you even watch the end of the video; they've hit him more than enough times to warrant some rage/anger when it's actually to the face this time.
@@packerpf true but not one of those pitches looked intentional. There also by different pitchers. Again grow up and man up. The guy that hit him in the head felt horrible. You could tell by his body language. and the second one looked upset as well. People have bad days even pitchers. Your throwing a ball 90+mph at a small target. wild pitches will happen. Take your base and stop having an ego. I see so many ego players in sports its ridiculous. Getting worked up over stupid things. There pros...act like it and dont act like highschool kids.
@@packerpf Dude is crowding the fucking plate. He’s like barry bonds level of not getting out of the way. He can’t hit the inside pitch so teams tend to throw it that way, see the problem here? Yaa he handled it well when he got beaned, but you can tell when something is intentional. Also fuck the Cubs, dirtbag team should have no say in what is right and wrong in baseball. Crying about it like their innocent.
I think someone just hacked his computer and uploaded his entire stash of videos he was saving for a rainy day.

2 breakdowns in 10 minutes? Is this heaven?
honestly, he doesnt really try to avoid the pitches either - most of those he probably could have avoid if he leaned back and pulled the elbow in
He's allowed to be mad, and that's all there is too it. - Jomboy.
Quality breakdown.
You forgot to show him leaning into a pitch in the strike zone the at bat before he got hit...
2:04 he deflected that one right into the catcher's throat lol
You're on fire TODAY
He was crowding the plate. The outside corner is the pitchers.
He gets hit a lot because he has elbow armor on and he never tries to move out of the way. Gotta try to avoid being hit if you're gonna cry about being hit.
Love your stuff man
To bad you didnt show the at bat before this one. Sutter / Contreras ... he stuck out his elbow trying to get hit...
No one is more thankful for the elbow guard than this man
You didn’t include the clip from earlier in the game where he literally leaned into the strike zone trying to get hit
It seems fishy that they say it isn’t intentional but when your elbow has a higher success rate of hitting the ball in your games played, you start wonder if it’s an “accident”
I don’t want yelling fights . I want a full on boxing match on the mound come on baseball
Even tho that is more interesting covid still exists and why risk getting suspended
well, at least thank goodness everytime bryce harper yells at someone it doesn't turn into a brawl lol
i dont get this logic, just watch boxing lol

I like the fact everyone let him be mad. St thats the only thing you can be as a person in the moment and there's no reason to come down on sb for it.
Congrats on 1 mil
Yeah... you should have seen Contreras earlier in the game trying to lean into a pitch
Contreras v rizzo would be a fun bet for who gets more HBP every year
Is there any beef between them or is he just ironically getting hit half the time he plays the Brewers.
we just happen to hit him a lot
This pitcher: I hope I hit the ba- CLUNK.
You forgot to include the part where Contreras leaned in to try to get hit
2:18 that picture is from 2 years ago, with shaw going to the blue jays, then back to the brewers
As a Brewers fan at this point it would be in bad taste not to hit him with the ball every at bat. It's more important to be consistent so we can validate his concerns.
Always wondered why pitchers never even come CLOSE to apologizing when they bean a hitter
"He doesn't even crowd the plate that much"

Stat should have said “failed to attempt to move out of the way 6 times out of 11 past games vs brewers”. The guy didn’t even budge.
It's a bit difficult to move out of the way of a 90 mph object that is reaching you in less than a second.
@@patrickkelly1590 For normal Joe’s, then yes. But I don’t buy it for a professional baseball player who’s been seeing 90+ since he was a teenager. I understand not completely avoiding the pitch but at least try not to get hit. I’m sure he’s pretty good at reading pitches too considering he’s a catcher.
They need to make helmets with half shields a requirement in mlb. People hated it when the nhl added helmets, now most players also wear some form of a shield.
It seems like the 1st bunch of hits were all the batter leaning in the middle of him torquing his swing. Then it seems like the pitches caught on to it and then intentionally pitched deep inside to make him think twice about leaning in on the regular inside pitches.
The fact that there is a highlight reel of him getting HBPs by the same team should be an issue.
Here before Jomboy realizes he spelled the title "doens't"
Jomboy with the research as always. Great video

As a cubs fan, at least i can now say someone is getting hits! (cubs are currently 30th in batting average, 20 points behind the 29th team)......yeah..ouch
Also, Brewers dominating the Cubs so far this season. Love it!!
Don't stand so damn close on top of the plate and you won't get hit typical cub whine whine whine
I kept looking for Zambrano to start a fight.😅
That elbow guard sure gets a lot of use
Is it bad that I was laughing through the whole montage of HBP lol
Must suck to have your scouting report say "get him out up and in"
lol poor guy. At some point even the most sane of us start wondering if "something is going on".
Everybody blames the pitcher, I blame Contreras elbow for being a ball magnet.
"not trying to do this" i only get paid millions to put a baseball exactly where i want to, it is literally what i do for a living.
If every pitcher could put it exactly where they wanted to every pitch then the Cy Young race would be really exciting. Scouting probably says he doesn't do well inside so they attempt to go there. His frustration is valid but to think every single one of those had some intent is ridiculous.
Jesus, these pitchers cannot control their inside running pitches. That’s crazy. It makes total sense for a major leaguer to get pissed. It’s one thing to pitch inside as a plan, but 6 times in last 11 games against they same team the pen needs to figure their shit out
idc if you get hit in the bill of your helmet why doesn't he pick it up to going to first u seriously gonna make the bat boy do it
That elbow shot montage...any chance he could just move for a few of those? He doesn't even flinch. If you're okay with getting hit, you're gonna get hit. Perhaps I'm wrong, but that HBP stat seems stemmed from him staying still
Great channel your stuff is funny too.
