That's me driving my 340 Demon 4 speed. I think that was 1987? The green FJ6 Demon was mine originally , and I sold to Dave Mascaro. My friend Jim Ziebert was in the video, too, driving his black 1970 AAR Cuda. I was shocked when I stumbled onto this video today. I still have the Hemi Orange Demon. It only has 14,460 original miles on it.

The 340 was one hell of a great running small block - wow very impressive - 14 seconds is darn good for that time period - way to go !!

@@chadhaire1711 this particular day was extremely hot during this event and most of the 340 cars were running low 14s. I wouldn’t be surprised that a cool day, low tire pressure, a little timing and a capable driver could squeeze out a 13.7 in a 340 Demon. They had fantastic weight distribution.

@@gq-cw6xiSad but true. Many cars in this video likely had original style skinny hard rear tires giving little traction, plus drivers not willing to push their valuable classics that hard. Also technology has really moved on. Even a stock 2011 V6 Mustang with a good driver can get in the 13's.
