Thanks bud appreciate that 😊 short and sweet is the best way I skip most people's intros these days as like you say once you've seen it 5 times that's 4 times to many 😂
Hi Jamie, a good bit of solvent welding there mate 👍👍Hoping to get my covers off tomorrow 🤞🤞the pond seasons under way 👍👍👌 all the best for the new season mate, take care, Terry.
Excellent work Jamie, as you say, another box ticked ✔️ and another one of the main tasks taken care of. 😁 Roll on the next stage……😊👍🏼 Thats the solvent weld I use too. Great stuff.
Hi Jamie looking good mate, with the bricks could you just place the last one on the side of the 7th so your only losing half a brick that way you will just tie the bricks in when cementing. 😊
Thanks bud that would mean I'd need a half a brick on the other side and being a complete amateur when it comes to brick work I'd rather not start cutting them if I can help it 🤣
Looking good mate! Just a thought, have you considered sticking an air stone disc on top of the bottom drain lid? I did for the bottom drain on my grow on tank and it definitely helps the waste migrate to the drain if I give it a blast of air. 👍🏻
There is on my main pond but i dont want one on this pond as the bottom drain will only be about a foot away from the window but the floor will be screeded to the drain anyway 😊👍🏻
Can't believe how fast you are with the hacksaw 😂 How come you don't use the cleaning fluid before you solvent weld Jamie? I thought it was necessary mate?
Hi Jamie great video just some advice have you layed down the second course off bricks down to see how the course will go then you will know how each course will go up to ground level keep the videos coming mate
Nice update , just thinking , it would mean cutting bricks as you go up but could you go 7 and 3/4 brick or 7 and 1/2 brick instead of losingg a full brick ?
Thanks bud yeh I did think of that but when it comes to bricks I am a complete amateur so I'd rather no mess around with cutting bricks if I can help it 🤣
Hi Jamie, the gate valve replacement bit of much interest as I have one that leaks and has been solvent welded to the waste outlet of easy pod. So I buy a full replacement I can remove the faulty (leaving the piece that’s stuck in place) but fix the new valve back in place? Hope that makes sense
Hi, Thanks for sharing. what type of pipe did you use? Was it pressure pipe? I’m making my bog filter with a bottom drain. I’m confused the type of pipe I require.
No this was just standard solvent weld black waste pressure pipe isn't really needed but it's each to there own I did use it on my main pond but then learnt alot more and decided it wasn't necessary on this one so saved myself a few quid 😉
That stuff seals in seconds..... literally... Still watching my friend
Oh yes it does 👍 no room for mistakes with that stuff and thanks for you support mate means alot 🙏
New subscriber here. What really encouraged me to sub was your nice short intro rather than 30 seconds of the same old footage like everyone else! 👍👍
Thanks bud appreciate that 😊 short and sweet is the best way I skip most people's intros these days as like you say once you've seen it 5 times that's 4 times to many 😂
Splendid update Jamie👍😊. Cracking on with the new pond now, will be a super when it’s done😊👍. I really do like your attention to detail😊👍

Oh yes Terry mines been holding around 11°c in Peterborough so we're looking good 👍 and yeh I was quite chuffed with my results on the bottom drain 😊👍
Excellent work Jamie, as you say, another box ticked ✔️

Roll on the next stage……😊👍🏼
Thats the solvent weld I use too. Great stuff.
Thanks Andy and yeh it's the best stuff in my opinion but it doesn't give you any time for mistakes or errors 🤣
@@keepingitkoi no it really doesn’t. 🤣
@@AndysKoiPuddle 🤣🤣🤣
Good progress getting the bottom drain in Jamie. It's a joke how quick solvent weld cement sets, always makes me panic 😂
Thanks bud and yeh 🤣 certainly no room for mistakes doing it is there 🤣
Nice update Jamie😀
Thanks bud I was quite chuffed with how it went to be honest 👍😊
We are doing our very first koi pond in our backyard. We are looking for videos how to plumb it and waterfalls. It’s dug already
I have loads of videos on my channel on these subjects 😊👍
Great job. Looks almost ready to move on to the next step
Thanks bud and Oh yes the base is in now ready for the blocks 👍
@@keepingitkoi that's awesome

Your more than welcome mate 👍 it's well deserved 👏 👍 👌 and thank you I love it 😊
Can't believe how fast you are with the hacksaw 😂 How come you don't use the cleaning fluid before you solvent weld Jamie? I thought it was necessary mate?
Haha 😄 but no never have as long as the pipe is clean and free from debris it's fine 👍
Hi Jamie great video just some advice have you layed down the second course off bricks down to see how the course will go then you will know how each course will go up to ground level keep the videos coming mate
Thanks bud but no Not yet bud I will once the concrete base is set 👍

Yes bud 👍 each piece can be replaced separately so you can just replace the bit you need to 👍

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks Marcin 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi what BD did you use? Thanks
It's just a 3" 90 with a 3" tank connector 👍😊
What pipe did you use ?
3' solvent weld black waste 👍🏻
20-30 bags of concrete mix through the house is a job and a half ... Yikes
Oh yes it was 22 bags of ballast and 6 cement in the end as already had one in the shed and that was very hard work 🤣
